SOURCE: Low Batterie Sign

I had the same prolem. OK, try this. Try to discharge the AA batteries in some use, flashlight or else,,,,then recharge them, full charge, install the batteriers ...they should work fine....
I read somewhere that canon is able free of charge to correct a shortcircuit that the camera is susceptible to develop in the installation of batteries......But I hope the advise will work...
Remove batteries when not in use.

SOURCE: batttery icon shows low battery even though new batteries are ins

I am not sure if this will address your problem but it is worth trying.

Make sure the record/playback mode switch is not in an intermediate position. Push it firmly all the way up. Also ensure that the mode button is not between clickstops. Then try to operate the camera

If that does not help, try the following. Take all the batteries out, including the lithium battery which keeps the clock going. Also take the SD memory card out. Leave the camera sit overnight.

Obtain new batteries - conventional alkaline AAs and a lithium type CR1220.

Next day, clean all the contacts for the AA batteries with a cotton-bud and contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Let dry. Then insert the new lithium battery. Next insert the new AAs and try to turn the camera on.

If it works, insert the SD card. If it does not work then there is probably an internal problem and it should be serviced.

SOURCE: Camera shows low Battery and goes off even if u insert a new one

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ
or SamsungUSA on the web

SOURCE: Low Battery Light Even with Brand New Lithium Batteries

If indeed the batteries are brand new and without a doubt charged,
then you definitely have a hardware problem in the camera.

You're probably going to have to give it in to be serviced.

Hope I helped!

Low battery

Try cleaning the battery contacts in the camera first with a pencil eraser and then with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Your cam has a not so rare battery drain defect, mine had the same problem.

call Samsung and send yours in, they will either fix it or give you a new one.

Wont show the screen

You cant use regular batteries on these cameras. I have the same one., you need to buy rechargeable batteries or lithium batteries, both are stronger, but more costly than your regular alkaline batteries. This will defrinatly fix the problem..I am 100% positive,.They sell recharg- able batteries ar walmart for like $20.00 taht comes with 4 aa batteries and the pulg in charger.

Samsung 301

Rechargeable batteries, do lose their capacity if recharged when partly down- the best way to discribe it is to say they have a memory- but only remember the last bit to be charged. So put the batteries into a torch or similar and leave on until completely flat and empty- then recharge. So do that and buy some new batteries - a couple of sets of batteries are best to have any way. Make sure they are NiMah and the charger accepts NiMah. Then clean out the contact in the bottom the of the battery chamber with the eraser at the end of a pencil. and the contach on the cap. Do that first then come back.
