Hi, need help old Jensen JDVD-7TS, READ USB MUSIC, DVD DO NOT PLAY, WANT TO PLAY USB MOVIES ALSO DO NO PLAY. CAN YOU HELP. Must I sent it in?

if you wish to burn cd's which is your burner then you need a software called nero burning rom or any other burning software that lets you burn data or audio cd's or vcd's to burn with if you wish to burn dvd's then you need a dvd burner combo drive which lets you burn dvds

I'm sure you probably have done this but i gotta ask!

When using usb there's enough power to run the usb key. When using 2.5inch hard drive the usb has enough power to run it. When using a 500gig you will need a separate powersource for it so check to make sure thats the case.

Also, a lot of these dvds will will only work with ide external harddrives and not sata external ones so make sure you use ide drives only.

SOURCE: DVD player is not able to detect WD 320 GB hard drive

Try reformating the drive with FAT32 file system (this is the default facotry mode).

SOURCE: movies from usb

from usb these players will play only certain type of formats,,,
store movies in some other format and try... it will work.
