My Hampton bay doorbell model WL-108-A has a delay in it when you push door bell button. It has 16volts at Bell.

The electromagnet that causes the bell clapper to move when the circuit is closed by pushing the button is failing. Replace the bell unit.

Doubtful they are compatible. If they are set by dip switches and you set them the same bot doesn't work-not compatible.

it is possible that the doorbell button is sticking down and keeping contact - so the doorbell keeps chiming.

look for a cover that has small switches under it. You can change frequencies there. You must match the door button the same way .

Just a thought if the bell is wireless your diagnosis may just be coincidental, but look to at swapping out the battery. can you press the bell, say 5 times one after the other ok? Batteries sometimes recharge slightly between presses, maybe just pressing it twice once after each other doesn't work.

It seems that there is a button on the receiver/speaker. Try press once and see if the sound changes.

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

Hi

To fix the issue you need to remove the batterys from both the bell push and the bell unit for 10 mins, then replace the batterys and then push the bell push so it can switch channels and be different from the house down the road

Most wireless Door bells go ding-dong! Does your doorbell play Greensleves, or Home on the Range?

Did you get 2 buttons with it?
One is for the front, which makes the bell chime one way and the other is for the rear and it makes it chime differently.

Doorbell doesn't complete cycle

What exactly is the cycle? If its a standard doorbell, thats right when you push in it makes contact copleting the circuit. Hence you Get a traditional Ding dong for front door and a ding for a second or rear door. if you release early it breaks the path of low voltage current and does not dong.
With that said is your door bell a custom doorbell, that could change things
