Just walk away and leave the machine for a few hours or a day. Sometimes frustration just makes it worse (it took me a full day to learn how to thread my first serger!).
Do you have a manual? It has a pretty good diagram on page 15 (compared to most manuals).

Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading. Also, ALWAYS thread in the sequence shown or you will most likely never get the machine to work properly. The red thread first, then the yellow thread.
If you continue to have problems, I'd suggest going to your local Pfaff dealer and asking them to show you how to thread it.

Make sure your tension is set on 5 and you don't have dirt stuck in your tension unit.
SOURCE: Pfaff 260 bobbin thread not picking up
Hi. This can be terribly frustrating, but the most likely cause for the bobbin thread not catching is that the needle is inserted wrong. There is a flat side on the shank of every needle and that has to be facing a specific way on your machine or the needle's grooves can't make the stitch. On most modern machines, it's my experience that the flat side goes to the rear, facing away from the operator, but some of my older machines need the flat side facing to the left or to the right.
Another thing that can cause the bobbin thread not to pick up is a bent needle, but in my experience it's usually the needle not in correctly.
(Cost me $85.00 to find this out!)
Let me know if this works, ok?
Happy Sewing!
