SOURCE: Old Amana - no manual; can't operate self clean feature

Can you locate the model number on the oven? Also any particular name of the stove? The manufactured year. These should all be available on a stainless steel or aluminum attached plate , probably on the back of the stove or inside the door.
I wouldn't try using the self cleaning feature until we get some advice. it could lock up on you and not UNLOCK. Normally self cleaning takes place at 600 or more degrees .

I'm sure others still have the same stove., I will see what I can find for you.

My clock does not work on my stove

Hi Jason. Have you performed the following actions?
Electronic Timing Center (Analog Clock w/Digital Display)
Synchronizing the analog and digital clocks
1. Press the "timer" and "start time" buttons simultaneously.
2. Turn the set knob to move the hands on the analog clock to any time setting.
3. After five seconds the display will go blank. Press the timer button and using the set knob, set the digital time to the exact time on the analog clock. This will synchronize the two clocks. You can now set the time of day.
Setting the Time-of-Day
The time-of-day must be set before any other program can be used. When your oven is first connected to the power in your home, the digital display will show 00:00. To program the time-of-day:
1. Push and hold the "timer" and "bake hours" button at the same time.
2. Turn the "Set" knob until correct time is displayed on the digital clock.
3. Release "timer" and "bake hours" button
The analog clock will automatically set after the digital time is set

Let me know so that I may follow up if need be.

Need to set clock on oven

Instructions
    • 1

Check the oven to ensure that it is off and that the timer isn't running. The buttons used to set the clock are the same buttons that adjust the oven, and you may end up making unintended adjustments to the oven.

    • 2

Press the "Clock" button to enter the clock setting mode. The LCD will show the current time set on the oven.

    • 3

Use the "Set Temp/Time +" or "Set Temp/Time -" buttons to adjust the clock to the current time. Depending on your model of stove you may need to use the "Hour," "Min" or the "Temp/Hour" up and down arrow buttons to set the time.

    • 4

Save the new clock setting by pressing the "Start" button. Depending on your stove model, you may need to press the "Clock" button a second time if the "Start" button does not work.

I have just moved into a new house with but i can't get the westinghouse PHL768U oven to work. I need help in setting controls like time etc. I havent got any manual. Please help

Chances are, its been turned off and you have had the power turned back on... I found this out as well, that you need to 'acknowledge' the stove... press the centre button by the clock display, and this should beep.. you should then be able to have the elements turn on, and if you want, set the clock.. See the display, and there will be a small red light, that bounces round from corner to corner when you press the Mode button. ie, if the red light is next to Clock, then you can adjust the clock time etc etc.. hope this helps.. otherwise, we also had to find the Range Power switch going to the stovetop...

Clock keeps flashing i keep setting clock but after 5 minutes or so starts flashing again putting tape over ready time button to hold it down then reset clock seems to work till the tape comes loose Stove...

It looks like the clock is on its way out. I would try two things. First, turn the power off at the main switch, leave it off for a few mins and then turn it back on and see if it makes a difference. You may need to do this a couple of times. Secondly, with the power switched off, repeatedly press all the clock buttons one at a time a number of times - there may be a contact that needs cleaning by operation and then see what happens. if you do need a new clock/timer then ask espares for a quote.

I have a Stoves double oven and after a power cut the clock has stopped working and the main oven is not working either. the clock is completely off. the small top oven is still working though. what can...

The clock controls the ovens. In other words, directly you set any time on the clock, a contact operates within it to provide power to the ovens. (Normally the grill remains operational). You may need a new clock/timer. Before you do so, try switching the power off at the main isolating switch and leaving it off for a few mins, then switching it back on, to try to get the clock to operate. You may need to do this a few times.
Normally Stoves stick a label identifying the model on the left hand edge of the lower oven. You see this when you lower the main oven door. it will probably start with a 05 and be 9 digits long. With this number you can identify the oven and obtain parts.

Westinghouse oven GWH 476 SLP Multifunction. The pilot cones on but not igniting ? no gas getting through

Hi RMSINN,

Believe it or not, the clock has to be set before the oven will light.

To set the clock, instead of using function names for buttons, we'll just call them buttons 1 through 6 going from left to right.

Push buttons 1 and 2 at the same time. You're now in clock setting mode. Push buttons 5 and 6 to make the clock go minus and plus.
Cheers
