did you tested another dreamcast control...you had the same problem...so you have to check the protection Fusistor inside your dreamcast conector controller board....it seems like a blue or green normal resistor...marked as F1 on the board..change it with a simple fuse or an smd fusistor...Good Luck!
the problem might be in the Dreamcast its self or the tv you our using. try connecting it to a another tv and see if that works. If it dosent it is the Dreamcast and i have no idea were you will get another one exept on ebay.
At first mine would do the same thing, so I thought. What you should try doing is go to "settings" and change the date, then go down on the list and change the memory card date settings. If that doesn't work then I'm really sorry I wasted your time.
The Dreamcast is no longer supported because it was to easy to copy the games, but there are still a loyal few who keep the scene alive. I have no idea how much you want to put into fixing the problem, but the only way to fix your problem is flashing the Dreamcast BIOS.
