SOURCE: In cold weather, car floods when trying to start

ncc-1701-d do not listen to this guy. This car is fuel injected. NO CARBURETOR! it's a throttle body! Do not mash pedal at all when starting car anytime. Engine light on? May be a problem with the Idle air control valve or the map sensor check the vacuum hose that goes to the map sensor. Check for vacuum leaks also. Check the three way connector on the hose from the cruise servo to vac. source. reply. 3800 or 3.8 these are two different motors.

The flash of my 2005 acer CI-6330 is working, any tips? what will i do?

Check Flash Settings:
Ensure that the flash is enabled in your camera settings. Look for a flash icon (usually a lightning bolt symbol) on the camera's display or menu.
If it's set to "off," switch it to "auto" or "on" mode.

Battery Level:
Make sure your camera's batteries are sufficiently charged. Low battery levels can affect flash performance.
If using rechargeable batteries, ensure they are fully charged.

Test Different Modes:
Try capturing photos in different modes (e.g., Auto, Program, or Manual).
Some modes may have specific flash behavior. Experiment to see if the flash works in any of them.

Check Flash Bulb:
Inspect the flash bulb (the small light source) for any damage or debris.
Clean the bulb gently with a soft cloth if needed.

Reset Camera Settings:
Sometimes settings can get stuck. Reset your camera to its default settings.
Refer to your camera's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Test in Different Lighting Conditions:
Try using the flash in various lighting scenarios (bright, low light, indoors, outdoors).
The flash may not activate if there's enough ambient light.

Check for Obstructions:
Ensure there are no obstructions (such as fingers or objects) blocking the flash.
Clean the flash area to remove any dirt or dust.

Update Firmware (if applicable):
Check if there are any firmware updates available for your camera model.
Visit Acer's official website for any available updates.

External Flash (Optional):
If the built-in flash still doesn't work, consider using an external flash (if compatible with your camera).
External flashes provide more power and flexibility.

Professional Service:
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to seek professional camera repair.
Contact Acer's customer support or visit an authorized service center.

How to open the trunk if my car's battery is dead - aston martin dbs carbon edition 2012

Hi Wly, Jump the battery with one from another vehicle. If the battery is in the trunk there should be a jump connection under the hood. Never having seen one of these vehicles I don't know where, but I'm sure you can fin it. Connect the batteries positive to positive, negative to negative and then start up, but before disconnecting turn on the lights and the climate fan to full. If its the hard top also turn on the heated rear window. This is to alleviate the possibility of a surge damaging the control systems of the car....You may like to pass my home and let me have a drive? maybe not, I live in Africa! Regards John

Sand Blast damaged my front camera lense of my 2010 LX570

Lexus doesn't sell a lens polishing kit for that thing (lol), but they (supposedly) make lense replacements (or if not you can bet there is an after-market one available for your camera/aperature (all that good stuff). Your Lex is still too new for lots of those parts being available outside the dealership, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask ANY camera shop if they can regrind your lense? (hmmm?) I'd think I'd go that route rather than pay big bucks at the Dealership.

I have a 2003 saturn Ion 2 and my car's engine light came on the other day and shortly after the car lost power when I was driving, it still was able to move but it was as though it was stuck in first and...

The transmission control module (TCM) uses the controller area network (CAN) to signal the engine control module (ECM) that the TCM is requesting malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illumination. This happens when the TCM has determined that a failure that affects emissions has occurred in the transmission control system. When the ECM receives the correct message from the TCM, DTC P0700 will set.
Circuit Description
The engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor is a variable resistor, that measures the temperature of the engine coolant. The ECT sensor has a signal circuit and a low reference circuit. The engine control module (ECM) supplies 5 volts to the ECT signal circuit, and a ground for the ECT low reference circuit. When the ECT is cold, the sensor resistance is high. When the ECT increases, the sensor resistance decreases. With high sensor resistance, the ECM detects a high voltage on the ECT signal circuit. With lower sensor resistance, the ECM detects a lower voltage on the ECT signal circuit. If the ECM detects an excessively high ECT signal voltage, which is a low temperature indication, DTC P0118 sets.

Diagnostic Aids
• If a short to a separate 5-volt source occurs this DTC may set.
• Use the Temperature vs Resistance table to test the ECT sensor at various temperature levels to evaluate the possibility of a skewed sensor. A skewed sensor could result in poor driveability concerns

Sounds like you need a new coolant temp. sensor , but test it ! Videos on youtube showing how to do it .
Circuit Description
To improve shift feel, the transmission control module (TCM) may request that the engine control module (ECM) reduce engine torque during shift events. When such a request is received, the ECM responds by retarding the base ignition timing and notifying the TCM that the request has succeeded. If the ECM is unable to comply with the request, the ECM sends the TCM a message that the request has failed.
The torque reduction request is sent to the ECM through a communication network called the controller area network (CAN). Two circuits are used to communicate CAN data between the ECM and TCM. A fault in the CAN will not cause DTC P1781 to set by itself. If a CAN fault occurs, other DTCs will set before DTC P1781.
When the TCM receives a torque reduction failure message from the ECM, then DTC P1781 will set. DTC P1781 is a type A DTC.

2002 tundra wont idel after battery change

Check your throttle body for gumming up. When you unhook the battery the vehicle loses its' learned values for throttle body position and reset to default. Unfortunately if there is any buildup in there the default setting will allow insufficient airflow to idle properly.
