1. Plug your Belkin range extender into power outlet inside your router wireless network range.
2.Now, use wifi capable device and search and connect to the Belkin.setup network.
3. If, you can't view the network, press the reset button of belkin.range setup for about 10 seconds.Or re-connect the Belkin extender to the network & then power cycle the extender.
4. Here, you need to wait till your device get to connect to belkin.range setup.

Doesn't look like your router/modem supports WPS, here is the manual. http://www.2wire.com/pages/pdfs/2701HG_user_guide.pdf
I would check your Range extender model because some allow for a wired configuration
Here is a How To, to configure the extender via cable and utility http://support.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/41

First suggestion is to unplug your unit for 24 hours, if does not correct your concerns, you may have fluid leakage from the tubes onto the pc boards. Make sure you have proper air venting around the tv. If problem persist call factory authorized dealer in your area. good luck
