PowerShot SD1100 IS - Problems!

It sounds like your SD card has become corrupted. Have you ever formatted it in your camera? If the answer is no (or you didn't know that it needed camera formatting), then this is even more likely the problem. A new unformatted card will initially work fine in the camera, but with time they nearly all will corrupt.
You'll need to format the card in the camera, using the camera's format option to rejuvenate the card, and to prevent this from happening again. However, this will erase any photos that are already on the card.
If you want to recover the photos first, here's some Mac freeware from CNET. You'll need to use a card reader with this software. Also if you have problems with this software, there are other "non-free" options available at CNET.
Good Luck!

Blackberry pearl- initialization problem

I had the same problem and find the answer on other forum http://forums.crackberry.com/f85/huge-problem-about-initialization-failed-sos-113323/ I used some scotch tape and worked perfect for me, the idea is to make the sim card a litle "fat" to fit the contacts.

Good luck

Dishwasher problem

I solved the reset by pressing the air dry and reset buttons 6 times in sequence, the whole panel array lit and I was then able to reset. I have had no problems since and have used it 6 times. I initially thought that the chipset had a volatile memory and took out the control card and checked all sensors, the falut persisted and I was so close to scrapping the thing !
We have had a few hydro outages here recently, I guess this put the machine out of sequence and it would not reset. I recommend that if you have a similar problem try pressing the buttons one after the other within 6 seconds, I guess similar machines with a slightly different touch pad use this means to unlock too so play with it for a while!

Card Not Initialized Error

Get the photos you want to keep off the card, and reformat it in the camera. Just deleting pics won't help. More than likely corrupted memory, and needs reformatting, Has worked for me several times.

Card not initialized

I had a similar issue with an XD card in my Fuji FinePix S3000.

I had used the several times for a couple of years without problem.

The issue appeared right after dowloading pictures from the card inserted in my notebooks' card reader - an operation I have done several times in the same notebook without any problem.

I have fixed the issue going to Menu, Option, SetUp, Format and choosed OK.

Deleted all the pictures (make a copy before if the card is readable in the pc as it was my case) but made the card readable again.
