Does model #LS100DX. Have an ozone generator.

I have this model of ozone generator. In general I think that ozone generator is probably the best odor removal tools that you can use. My wife used them in hotels to refresh non-smoking rooms where someone was smoking. They have a big and commercial model. But for our house I bought an ozone generator online just recently for about $75. I use it in our living room where I like to smoke, because my wife doesn't like the smell of cigarettes. Only thing you should remember that ozone is dangerous and very reactive to organic material. I have read it at this article. https://www.damagecontrol-911.com/danger... And now when I use it I just make sure there are no living things in the area being treated, no pets, no plants, no fish, no people, nothing.

Oh I have a an 880 Living Air Purifier. Just installed new plates. The Amber light is always on. Does this mean the ozone is working?

amber light indicates ionization, not ozone. ozone is generated only if you can smell it. You can fix your unit, trade it in for a brand new one or find additional help here: https://freshairpurifiers.net

I was considering Biozone for restrooms etc and I assumed,as your info.says that it would be odour free? Some I have seen are not odour free.Is it just a uv lamp system or is there some form of ozone...

the UV lamp does produce some ozone .. this one specifies .04 ppm .. thats not very much but might be detectable as a slight fresh air odor .. some other types use electrostatic filtering and some even have strong ozone generators .. ozone does kill bacteria, fungus and such and will freshen the air removing many odors but is not considered healthy in large or concentrated amounts or for prolonged periods .. the UV lamp will also kill bacteria and fungus without producing so much ozone.

Purifying Method: Photoplasma, UV, ions, and ozone.

IT SMELLS LIKE A GAS COMING OUT OF IT, ESPECIALLY WHEN I CLOSE THE DOOR IN A ROOM. I BELIEVE IT'S OZONE LIKE A COPY MACHINE. IT IS VERY IRRATATING TO MY LUNGS.

Whilst Healthway claim that they do not use ozone generation as a method of treating microorganisms, generally speaking, any high voltage system (18kV is considered high voltage) will generate some degree of ozone. All that is required is for an electrical connection wire to have some sharp edge and the high voltage will generate ozone. There is no solution to this, however since the device is Listed by the FDA as a Class II Medical Device, you should write a letter of complaint to Healthway.

Xl-115 Automatic setting not working?

your sensor board has failed , a realy common problem , most if not all are dead and no parts are made for it ...... you do not need the sensor anyway it was only installed as a knee **** reaction to fda worrys of ozone levels over 0.05 ppm in bedrooms . so the board was installed to cut at 0.05 ...... it was a failure , so a bypass switch was added to get around the problem board ... just set on man , adjust for your sq ft ... you will be fine

Ozone output stopped

I am not familiar with your particular model. I can give you a generic type answer.

In these units there is a high voltage generator module. This module can fail, and therefore no ozone will be produced. It is possible that the power source that drives the module has also failed.

If you get in touch with the manufacture, maybe they can sell you spare parts, or at least inform you about how you can get the unit serviced.

As for my own opinion, when considering the age of the unit I would consider replacing it with a new model. The cost of servicing your unit may approach that of a new one which will have a warranty and higher reliability.

The ozone generator quit working. What is the problem and where can I get parts ?

You can pull off the rear filter, pull the ozone plates, defeat the safety interlock, turn the unit on, and place a screw driver (holding the plastic handle) one one of the ozone bars, and try to make an arc between the screwdriver and the other bar.

If you get an arc, the ozone plates are dirty. Clean well with a brush and sudsy ammonia. If no arc, either the hv transformer is bad, the main circuit board is bad, or the ozone control is bad.

There's one other thing you can check: The two wires that connect to the ozone bars can arc to the chassis sometimes. You can inspect the insulation on those wires to make sure it is intact.

I was given this product and don't know what it does.

I cannot understand the popularity of machines like this! They generate ozone, and here's what you need too know:  Ozone is an atmospheric pollutant (good news up in the stratosphere - bad news down here where we breathe it) and primary irritant of mammalian airways. It is a powerful oxidizer of organic matter, so it kills bacteria (mostly good news) and can adversely affect anything else organic that it comes into contact with - leather, rubber, plants, pets and you (really bad news).
Personally, writing as a qualified chemist and biologist, I would not want to be in the same house as an ozone generator, let alone be in the same room as one.
If you really feel the need to "purify" your air. Do it without generating a toxic impurity!
I value your feedback, so if this helps please rate me.

...and so you should be! Worried, I mean. And not just about this particular machine. Question

Presumably it meets all relevant safety standards, otherwise it would not be permitted to be on the market in most civilized countries.  That said, it certainly produces ozone which, while a highly effective odor destroyer, is an environmental pollutant and causes upper respiratory tract irritation and other symptoms (check out ozone in wikipedia, and you won't want to be around it for long!).
Personally, writing as a qualified chemist and biologist, I would not want to be in the same room as a working ozone generator.
Does that help?

Shortness of breath, coughing when working out near unit.

I think you've answered your own question: "symptoms cease when unit is turned off".
I don't want to be alarmist, and I certainly do not suggest that there is anything unsafe about the Breeze AT.  Nevertheless, this machine generates ozone, which is an upper respiratory tract irritant.  It is absolutely vital that you follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter when operating it. Personally, I would never want to be in the same room as a working ozone generator (and I know of at least one ozone generator where the instructions specifically tell you to keep out while it's working).
Your machine may be on a setting where it is producing more ozone than is desirable. If you no longer have the manual, you can download a copy at www.ecoquest.com (click on the DOWNLOADS tab, then on OTHER on the green bar. The Breeze AT is in the Owner's Manuals list.).
If in doubt, play safe!
