Everything above is what shoud have been in the box

The missing cable that fits the box is #2 at this
    site:http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/catal...

But there may be a catch here notice
on the first webpage where they
mentioned the sneaky little HD switch
the cable at the 2nd site may not work
wiithout that sneaky little switch Microsoft
    probably changed something internally in
the box then made a special cable with
the switch to activate it (somebody will
probably hack it so it will work with cable #2)

Or it might work anyway,With Microsoft who knows!

I am trying for the frist time to hook up my son xbox360! what do i need to do. The hook up is are pluged in tight & my internet is on as you can see" what do i do?

If you are trying to connect to xbox live you should plug in your ethernet cable to the back and than turn on the xbox 360 and select xbox live..

If you are trying to "hook" recieve visuals plug all the cords the xbox came with into the right places and plug the opposite ends correctly into the tv than make sure your cables are on the settings tv not hdtv than find the input your tv must be on to ie: input1 or source

Xbox 360 won't play old xbox games?

If your console is hooked up to Xboxlive and has a Hard Drive connected to it you will automatically be prompted to update upon insertion of the original Xbox title. Your console will restart when it's ready and you should be able to play.

*If you do not have a Hard drive you cannot play original Xbox titles.* The original Xbox Memory unit will not work in Xbox360 and the original Xbox games have no access to the Xbox360 memory units.

If you have a Hard Drive but your Xbox360 is not hooked up to the internet you can either order a disc for free from Microsoft by going Here

or burn the needed information onto a disc by going Here

How to hook up a XBOX 360 to an HDTV

You can go to Wal-Mart or any major electronics store and buy a splitter/selecter for your different devices.

Basically, the unit will allow you to connect a few input devices (xbox, ps3, whatever) into one HD connection on an HDTV. You will be able to select which device uses the HD connection to the tv through a switch.

I hope you find the item :-) A Competent electronics salesman should be able to help you out just fine!

Xbox360

i suspect you bought the xbox 360 core version. this does not come with a hard drive and therefore you cannot play original games. since you have the 30 day warranty i'd recommend you buy either the premium (comes with 20 gb hard drive) or the elite (120 gb hard drive). or you can buy a hard drive seperately and install it, however it's very overpriced like all 360 accessories

hopefully that helps
