Don't know, but there's a Gilson Collectors forum on Yahoogroups, that has a large file section that has manuals and several there that will gladly hep with answers.

hello, have looked all over the net trying to find a manual for your gilson,and the only place i found some is e bay there are about 15 in all,go there and find your manual and but it, there are no free ones to be found!!!

In the 80's, Gilson was bought by Lawn-Boy,
In the 90's, Lawn-Boy was bought by TORO.
At the end of 2009, Toro will discontinue Lawn-Boy.

Gilson parts and manuals did NOT transfer with the Lawn-Boy to TORO purchase. Gilson is NLA, sorry.

Hey guys found this though Google images of a tiller. It had a link to this guys site with PDF of an old Montgomery Wards tiller, which shares a lot of the same parts as a Gilson 272 42004 tiller that I have.
