A new SD card 2 GB wil not work in my C310 kodak digital camera Message in camera "memory card full" message in card reader when trying to format the card says "write protected" Is this card too Big?

No, the C310 will handle a 2GB card.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

I bought my Kodak Easyshare C310 a few years ago and has been working fine. I bought a new SD card as lost my old one, and when I inserted into the camera it said the memory card was full (wasnt as brand...

Hi there
Check to make sure the cards write protect is off, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg . Put it back in the camera and use the menu to format the card.
If the format fails then its a possibility that you will need a new card.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Kodak c310 camera won't format new SD 2GB card old card same size

Older C310s won't take that large a card. Try to exchange it for a 1 GB or smaller. I had the same problem - a PNY 1 GB works fine

As far as I know, there isn't a way to copy pictures from your internal memory to the memory card. I'm not sure why you're trying to do it, but if you just need to make the pictures portable, you could transfer the pictures to your computer and put them onto a cd or an USB flashdrive.
