Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Text Messaging buttons do not work

Everything on my phone works fine except when I go into my text messaging screen. When I hit the button to enter Inbox, Drafts, or Sent Messages, nothing happens. Then it freezes the first time I try to get into one of these choices. To get out of the screen, I have to hit clear or end. This just randomly happened last night as I was sending a text message. It froze the phone. Sometimes when I turn it off and back on, it will work for about 20 seconds. I sent a text message to it from another cell phone and my RAZR did not receive it.

Cn't send a text message at all. As soon as i hit the message icon and then select create message then new text message, the screen is frozen. I cannot enter any text at all. I have to wait until the phone changes screens back to the main screen. I tried turning off phone and taking out the battery and reinserting battery and rebooting phone. No help- still frozen when in texting screen.

Everything works well on my phone, except a week or so ago it stopped sending text messages, I can recieve them but they will not send. any thoughts?

You can actually delete the unnecessary SMS from your phone to make sure that the phone memory is not really full, outbox, sent items, drafts and inbox.
You can also check if the message center number that you are using is the correct SMS center number assigned for your service provider, you might need replacing it with another message center numbers. You can call your service provider for the list of SMS center numbers that you can try to use.

Text messaging is slow.

This is because there are too many messages in your Text messages folder. Delete all the messages from inbox, drafts and sent messages and try again.

How do i delete the recent messages distribution list? ok, so when I write a new message and I should enter to whom I want to send it there is an option recent messages. I would like to know how can I...

Access menu>messages>(Now from this screen you should see your Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Saved, Etc. Check to see if you are given 'Options'). This should allow you to delete all text messages in each category. If you are not given an 'Options' feature then access your Inbox and from your Inbox use your 'Options' feature to delete all clutter.

MY TEXT MESSAGING WONT LET ME TEXT ANYONE. IT SAYS TEXT MESSAGE FULL BUT I HAVE NO MESSAGES IN MY INBOX OR OUTBOX

Does it show signal bars on the screen and are you able to make/receive calls? If not then that is why. AT&T does not guarantee in building service. If you do have signal and it is working other than text, then check your message center number in the device:

From the standby screen, press Menu.
Press Messaging.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Text Message.
Enter appropriate Message Center Number, then press Done. The message center number that should be there is +13123149810 (and the + sign does need to be in front of it)

Text messaging

Unfortunatly you have to call your cell carrier to RTN your phone which will erase everything in your phone. You may try to go to a store to get a software update.
FYI. I worked for Sprint for 3 years.
