Computer doesn't recognize the Vision: M

I have installed the software, but when I plug my Vision M into the computer...it doesn't recognize that it exists. Therefore, I can't do anything to the mp3 player. I can't add songs, or make a playlist or anything at all. Do I need to manually turn something on. It worked fined with my other computer, but I have this one now and it just won't connect.

Not recognized by my laptop

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you. Your computer is not recognizing your Archos Vision A14VG Digital Media Player? The computer should be able to recognize it because your digital media player is compatible with the three major operating systems: Windows, Mac and Linux. Maybe a Firmware or driver update will help.
  1. First, make sure your laptop has USB 2.0 hi-speed ports installed on it (If you are not sure if these are installed on your laptop, check your laptop's user manual).
  2. Connect your Archos to your laptop.
  3. On your laptop, go into Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers group. Double click each device in that group until you find your digital media player.
  4. Update the driver.
  5. If it doesn't need an update, click try uninstalling the driver then reinstall it again.
If the computer still doesn't recognize your device, Try these websites to see if the device may need a firmware or driver update from there.

http://driverwhiz.com/drivers-en?brand=Archos&logo=Archos&subid=1001-us-en-10000048213&gclid=COOT2e-vgakCFYg32g but with with with oduyB-Sw

If your computer is still not recognizing it, try connecting your device to a desktop PC. If the desktop PC recognizes your device, then the problem is coming from the USB ports on your laptop. They may not have the amount of power needed for the device to connect to your laptop. If the PC desktop doesn't recognize the device, then the problem is that one of the drivers in the Archos is defective (not working anymore). Once that happens, the only way the device can work again is if the defective driver gets replaced. If your warranty for the product is still in effect, send the product back to its manufactuer and have them look at it. I hope this is just a driver updating issue. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. Have a good day evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this.

When i connect thru a USB my motorola v235 it doesn`t show it as connected and i can`t access it, i downloaded the drivers but it showes an installation page and doesn`t recognize the phone. what can i do...

Does your phone require software to be installed on your computer first?

My LG requires software from LG before it would recognize or manipulate the phone. Perhaps your phone is similar.

How do you load songs onto the LG vision TU720? Do you need cd software and where can I find it online?

If you have an LG data cable- not just a charging cable- you probably dont need any software. Plug your phone into the computer using the cable, and if you have a memeory card installed, the pc will recognize the memory card as an external drive or device. Then simply drag and drop your audio files. from your pc to the memory card.

If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
