Have Audiovox PLV16081W 8" tv. I was dusting the top where all the contol buttons are. Suddenly went to "no signal". Now cant get it to go back to picture.

That would mean the TV is in some sort of error condition. Unplug the power from the wall for 30 minutes, plug it back in and see if it operates nominally.

if it was manufactured before 2007/8 then probably not- good way to check is to run an auto scan in the set up mode- if the tuner is digital it will find the 7-1 7-2 etc digital channels that have been placed in between the analog stations

I called customer support and they had not heard of this problem, and could not even tell me what the "V.Off" showing on the display represents. But, . . . the problem was solved by resetting the memory - by powering off, and powering back on while holding down both the Mode and Analog input buttons. Although this wiped out all my settings, the "V.Off" on the display disappeared, and the video now works. Problem solved.

Tries tv and the box unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.For the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting.The box to upgraded it softwares.Tv should be working again.If still have the same problems.Take ur tv backcover aparts and disconnection of the tv side manual control board PCB wire connection plug in that have like Power,Channel - +,Volme - + and Menu so on buttons switches.Turn the tv on and see if tv funtions correctly If yes than the tv manual cotrol buttons PCB board have to be change.If the manual contol board is diconnected from the tv Tuner signal board and have the same problems.Than ur tv have a bigger problems,the tv Tuner signal board is the causes and the problems.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish manual control PCB board or the tv Tuner signal boards for the replacement.

If the audiovox does not have digital capability you will need a converter. The converter "converts" the digital signal back to the old signal so that your tv will recognize and play it. Thanks for using fixya.

Pic suddenly went dark, very dark. Images seen are oversaturated. hitachi ultrascan hd is about 8 years old. Help!

I have the same problem. I took the back cover off of the TV and blew all of the dust out and the TV started working again. But this only lasted 2 days. Now the TV is dark again.

No, this is not windoze.

can you change channels?
a blue screen usually means that you don't have a signal.
Is it hooked up through dvd/vcr player?

Try a straight connection to cable or antenna.

If it remains, then it requires surgery.

Audiovox FPE4216P won't come on - power board problem?

My set is 14 mo old and yesterday while on it suddenly switched off. buttons did not work to turn it on again though the red power light was on. I unplugged it and replugged it and it then turned on. The picture is there but its fadded and has areas of black pixalation in it. It's over warrenty and I just don't know what to do. What happened and will it cost over $500 as a repair shop told me on the phone? This was a gift to me and I'm on Social Security so I'm kind of shaken by this.

No cable signal

somewhere in the tv's menu (or a button on the tv or remote) there should be a way to change the tuner setting from antenna to cable. you may have to make the tv run through autotune. a switch or button may be on the back of the set, close to the
cable connector.

Auto Scanning

Try unplugging it for 2 minutes then se what happens. Make sure that none of the buttons on the TV or remote contol are stuck (especialy if remote is near TV).
