Rca rt2870 wont turn on

Hi,

It sound like the remote is powering off the cable box but not the TV. The remote control may need to be reprogrammed to the TV. When you press power it may only power off the Cable box. At that point, try pressing the TV button on your remote and then Power. If it does not power off the tV after pressing the tV button, the remote may need to be reprogrammed to the tv. Cable companies usually have the codes needed to program their remotes to the TVs.

Don't worry mine's a piece of **** too. When I have that problem I just unplug it and plug it back in a few times and eventually it will turn on by itself when you plug it in. And by then the remote usually starts working. If not then I suggest pushing down on your battery while holding the remote pointed STRAIGHT AT the box. That usually does the trick even though its a HUGE pain in the ***.

Pay attention to the Advanced Sound Control section, Speaker Configurations,

mine would go blue then just turn off, its the amp sta 517b is burnt out

press the am/fm button onthe remote or recivier

Go back to the perference menu and change it back to off.

Well, I just returned the unit. RCA replied with the following solution:
Let the unit sit with the AC power cord out of the wall for a couple of
hours. Then hit the power button 10-15 times (with the AC power cord still
out of the wall socket!) and then try again.

My RCA model #RT2870 subwoofer doesn't work but the sub light is on... HELP!!!
