Hello, George -

I am sorry it was too difficult for you to go to the Cuisinart web page for parts for your Cuisinart DCC 1200 coffee maker.

This is the link to the web page where you can purchase a replacement carafe lid or a complete replacement carafe:
https://www.cuisinart.com/parts/coffee_makers/dcc-1200/

Best wishes.

SOURCE: dcc-1200 not working

Probably dead, but:

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

SOURCE: DCC-1200 Coffee Maker

See post on Cuisinart customer service. The tube can be purchased at Lowes. Clear vinyl 1/2" O.D., 3/8" I.D. The compression clamp will have to be replaced as well.
I used a 1/2" hose clamp available at any auto parts store.

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC-1200 brewing temperature

Hello ditommm,
Not to worry, I think I can help. On the face of your DCC-1200, there are two black switches. The right one adjusts the carafe temperature. With the white line to the left you get a lower carafe temperature. With it all the way to the right you get the highest (hottest) temp. Of course, in the middle, you get a medium temp. I use mine with the lowest temp so that I don't end of scalding my lips and tongue when I drink my coffee. Use this bit of info to adjust your carafe temps. If you are looking to cause the actual brewing temp I don't know of a way to do that. Coffee needs to be brewed at the set temp in order to break down the elements of the ground coffee. I hope this is what you were looking for in an answer and that it is helpful. If it is, please consider leaving positve feedback for me. I will certainly appreciate it. Good luck! Regards, NormanZ

Help with cuisinart dcc-1200.

Is the cold water supply tank full? Have you set the shutoff delay up to max (4 hrs)? If you've used it very little, it may still be under warranty, and the store you got it from may exchange it for you.

I have a DCC 2200 that has stopped working. It does not turn on, the clock is stuck at 1200 and none of the buttons work. Is this unit worth repairing or should I just toss it?

Normally I'd try to repair it just for the fun of it, but Black & Decker has a new one out now that costs about the same and has a really nice insulated metal carafe. That's what I bought after my Cuisinart had the same problem and it's been great; the coffee stays hotter and fresher longer, plus the cat can't break the carafe no matter how hard he tries. For a fun project, you might try removing the clock and installing a plain switch to make a timerless coffeemaker, like for your garage, but by and large, those things are disposable now. It's sad.

Takes very long to brew 8 cups. 30 minutes or so

Hello! W/D here.
Your DCC 1200 is equipped with an internal filter designed to remove contaminants and it is accessed through the reservoir. I'd start with replacing the filter (don't forget to soak the new filter first before installing).
Here's the link to your manual and it gives a good description of changing the filter, and de-scaling your coffee maker.

How to use Cuisinart DCC-1200 Coffee Maker to make a pot of coffee

Just bought a DCC-1200 from Goodwill for 4.95. Looks brand new. Would heat up and sputter but nothing comming through to the pot. Removed botton with T-10 torx driver. Remove hose with check valve in it. TYou can squeeze the hose about an inch down and feel it to determine which hose its in. Pushed the valve out with a screw driver over a towl so if the little ball fell out I wouldnt loose it. There was a small wad of yelllow paper clogging the valve. Removed it. Reassembled and it works great.

The machine is probably toast - but it's covered by Cuisinart's three-year warrany. Customer Service: (800) 726-0190. They charge $10 shipping, unless you live in California.

Dcc-1200 filter

The filter basket fits in the machine in only one rotational position -
with the lift ring at the 5:30 position and rectangular tab at 12:00 o'clock - precisely!. Only in that position can it be fully seated so
the the cap on the carafe will open the valve at the bottom of the basket. If that valve stays closed, the basket will overflow and
no coffee will go into the carafe.
