i called lg tech, he says to pull out the vent and inside it behind are two sensors, to clean them with warm gentle soap on a rag, that if you use dryer sheets it will get a build up on the sensors. he says we are not to use dryer sheets with these dryers!! fabric softner in the washer machine.

I just cleaned those sensors at the bottom of the filter, it worked like a charm. The dryer is now drying perfectly, I did not know you were not supposed to use fabric sheets with this dryer. Now I know, Thank you for the good information.

Maybe your thermostat or fuse are tripped...i think LG dryers have re-settable fuses and thoermostats...you need to getthe fron panal aopen and check in the heating compartment for them...check if they have re settable fuses or thermostats. if they do they will have buttons you can push..push them and see if any of them click...

LG Tromm dryer dryer number DLG3788W is not heating. it spins and works perfectly accept it stopped heating yesterday. I took off the vent hose yesterday and cleaned out all the lint there, it wasnt too...

Either there is a fault in the power supply to the heating coils, or the heating coils have burned out. A multimeter will come in handy at this point to check continuity across the terminals to the heating coils, and to test current supply to the coils. Be very very careful since you are dealing with 220 volts. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, call an appliance repairman.
