The shipping will be very expensive along with the repair. Possibly taking it to a local Meade dealer may be more economical??

SOURCE: 76AZ-AD (180 x 76mm) Telescope: I recently purchased a Meade telescope but can not...
Does it have a name on the scope? If it has a MIRROR in the bottom it is a REFLECTOR.
If it has a lens on the front it is a REFRACTOR. Look on Meade's manual web site under the header REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope.

SOURCE: need corrector plate retaining ring gasket
These parts are only available from Meade, or if you find an old scope on astromart.com that is being torn apart and sold as parts. You might find a replacement gasket at a well stocked hardware store--- maybe?
