Well, since I received a solution from MAXTRIXKHAN, I just wanted to check back with NCIX.com, and here is a recap of what I did, and what they told me...

After a few tries, I had to contact LG Customer service.
I tried to burn to...

-Maxell CD-R, no problems,
-TDK DVD-RW, no problems,
-Verbatim DVD+R, Computer hangs.

Well, I bought this DVD-Writer to replace my old GSA-4167B, and LG customer service told me that this DVD-Writer does not support the Verbatim DVDs.

So, if you have plenty of Verbatim DVDs, you should forget about this writer.

Maxell, Sony, TDK

well, if you had deleted the driver of your multi dvd, you had to reinstall your system (Operating system) because your system will automatically detect your multi dvd and in case you had reinstalled your OS and still it doesn't work... try checking the cables attach to your multi dvd.

you can go online and download the driver package. go to lg and click on drivers usually for free...

If the device is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer and request a RMA. Otherwise, replace the drive.

Reading a DVD requires a different laser than reading a CD. If the DVD portion is off, this would cause the problem with DVDs, but not affect CDs.
