SOURCE: Wrong sim card problem with SE P910i, not P900 but pretty similar anyway
I don't have a solution, but my P910i did this immediately AFTER I did the firmware upgrade. The local repair shop refuses to look at it as the tag and internal IMEI numbers are different. I suspect it was repaired before and the tag not changed. I am still working on it and will let you know. But its xmas and Australia rolls up the sidewalks shuts off the streetlights and stops.

I had the same problem with my handheld Lowrance Hunt C. After installing the card and locking it in place, I had to slide the card "out" toward the locking mechanism. It barely moves, but worked after that. Whenever I load the card, I now slide it out and it works every time.

Make sure that the 5200c is set to read the Navionic card. You can set that under Map Data.

Same problem I had. After resetting unit and checking CF on another unit, Raymarine tech. said, the reader is not working. All pins seems to be OK on first look. I opened unit by removing several screws in front, gasket and the whole chassis from the case. Simple repositioning of pushed down pins from inside into the Compact Flash corrected contact problem of reader. Since then, I never removed CF. It seemed, after several reinsertions of CF, I pushed down two pins in CF slot.
