I have a bissell zing model # 6489. I took it apart and found the motor is clogged with alot of debris...how do I take it apart to clean it

I empty my canister every clean, and wash the paper filter (figure out how to take screen protector off.). If occasionally it feels its not sucking as strong as normal, I eyeball wand interior, poke or flush out with garden watering hose. If vac hose clogged, use wire, etc and poke or flush out. My blue Zing has lasted since 2015. I love the simplicity of it.

I have a Bissell deep clean essential complete model #8852 or 14055C the hose won't suck

First remove the hose and place your hand instead of the hose then start tha machine. If your hand is suck by the machine only your hose is the problem. Clean your hose by filling it with water and see what will come out at the other end of the hose. If water and some dirt comes out, wait until pure water only comes out. If water and debris not coming out of the hose, use a flexible wire or rod to push the debris blocking the hose.

Need to replace belt and cannot figure how to take it apart to get at the belt --- Took Screws off on the bottom but could not get to the belt

You have already removed the screws so lift the brush cover off. Then grasp rotating floor brush at both ends and lift. Clean strings, hair and other debris from rotating brush, paying close attention to the brush ends. Clean the debris from motor pulley and drive belt areas.Grasp old drive belt and remove from motor pulley. Place new drive belt over motor pulley and stretch other end over rotating floor brush in the space between the bristles. Place the ends of the rotating floor brush down into slots on the sides. Turn the rotating floor brush by hand several times in the direction of motor pulley. If installed properly, drive belt will center itself on rotating brush. Reposition brush cover and screw back into place. I hope that this helps you!

Water comes out the accessory hose but not the floor cleaner

I had the same problem and the heater ports were clogged. I took apart the top unit and cleaned the ports with miniature bottle brushes used to clean spray painting equipment (purchased at Harbor Freight for $4). Reassembled and the unit worked fine.

Bissel Proheat Carpet cleaner

My Bissell had the same problem. The hand attachment does not use heated water. So I Found a clog of calcium and dirt in the heater portion of the unit. The heater is in the handle behind the red heater light on the front. Remove the upper portion of the handle. Remove the lower two screws in the lower portion and the parts will split apart. Remove the hoses and remove the heater. (mark where the wires go) The bottom of the heater can be removed with a screwdriver. The tubes leading into the heater is where the clog was but there was a lot of debris inside Make sure to clear it all and the hoses as well. I put it together and it works great.

Bissell Lift-Off Turbo power outage

We experienced the same thing. There are several filters on the vacuum cleaner that need to be cleaned out regularly (monthly in the user's guide). But the reason ours was shutting down is a protective circuit that cuts power for 30 minutes to avoid burning up a motor when there is a clog. Our clog was in the hose on the back of the cannister. One end of it can be lifted out of the bottom. The other end locks into place on the top (by rotating the ring on the end of it). It is the path for the hair and debris to the bagless cannister. We found that the top end of that hose was clogged with hair preventing anything from going into the cannister. So if your cannister is not filling, that's probably your problem. Easy to remove the hose and it's only about 18" long, so find something to stick through it and force out all the clogged debris and hair. Good luck!
