F9 or F9 E0

Possible Solutions

Reset power to the product:

This code will most often indicate that the appliance is wired incorrectly at the home electrical supply, or at the hard wire connection.

  • If your oven was installed recently (within approximately 3 months), contact a qualified electrician to verify the electrical supply.
During a power outage, if there was an unexpected amount of power supply line "noise" that the control detected as an incorrect voltage amount, the control could display the F9, F9 E0 or PF Error Code. Also, if any keys were pressed before the 10 second delay interval on power up, this could cause the F9, F9 E0 or PF to appear.
  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify oven operation.

SOURCE: Maytag Gemini Electric stove fault code F 1-2 when using the oven(s)

The oven temp sensor has gone bad.  F1-2 would be for the lower oven and F1-1 would mean the upper oven.  If you give me the model # from the sticker on the oven I can direct you to a diagram, part #, and price.  These are very easy to replace.  Should be located inside the oven in the upper right or left hand side.  It looks like a silver rod about 4-8 inches long and crimped on the end.  Most of them can be removed from inside the oven by removing the two screws, pull out the sensor (harness and all) plug in the new sensor, put the screws back in and your done.  Some have to be removed from the back of the oven by removing the lower, larger back panel and follow the same process as mentioned above.  Hope this helps.

SOURCE: PF on Whirlpool super capacity 465 electric Stove Model RF366PXGW2

PF = Power Failure. Sounds like you have a bad electrical connection. With your breaker off, check that the connections from the cord to the range are all good and tight. Next, check the receptacle where the cord plugs in. Remove the cover and check the connections there as well. Examine the power cord also. There could even be a poor connection at the breaker box (at the circuit breaker or the neutral buss bar) but not as likely, as your problem appeared when you moved your range.

If you got it hot enough from your soup there is a fan switch to turn the blower on to cool the unit. Maybe next time cook that on a different burner on the stove to try to not heat up that area under the microwave.

I believe there is a mouse nest in the insulation of my whirlpool ceramic stove top, how do I remove the stove top to clean it out?

Open the oven door and locate the screws under the bottom of the front edge of the cook top. Remove the screws and the cook top should lift up. If the range is not equipped with any kind of hinge supports, the top will have to be propped up.

If there is evidence of any rodent infestation, make sure you do a thorough inspection of all internal wiring. Mice love to chew on wire insulation. Any bare wires can result in appliance failure, electric shock, or become a fire hazard. Make sure you do not use the range until repairs are made if there are signs of any wire damage.

NOTE: Ensure you also check the wiring inside the operator console. Remove the back panel to access.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Microwave above the stove

Yes there is a code. The code is 18" from the cooking surface to the bottom of the microwave. At least that is the code in California. There is no code to the top though.just the bottom.

Bake will not heat up to where it should

If the oven is getting warm but not as hot as it should your thermostat is bad. They are a small pain to replace but can be done if you don't mind removing the front panel and removing 2 small screws. It would be best to get your model number and remove the thermostat to get exactly the same one. Let me know how it turns out. Ken
