Without more info I will say that many devices are toggled on/off mute with the same button; that is push the mute bottn once for mute and again to disengage mute

To mute, press the mute button (the "logitech" logo). the mute light will flash when muted. Press the button again to unmute. I reviewed the manual and do not see a mute key. However, I included a link to the manual below for you. Many cordless do not have a mute key, so I merely put my finger over the transmitter holes to mute. Kinda goofy, but it works. Thanks, CG
