DONT KNOW HOW TO SET THE ALARM
Posted by Anonymous on
I have been unable to find the user manual for the GE clock radio model 7-4853C.
I did find a PDF document for the user manual for the GE clock radio model 74853a. In hopes that model 74853a is similar enough to your model GE clock radio, to be helpful. This is the link to the PDF document, which you can download for free:
Note: You will need Adobe Reader software (free.) After you download the manual, save it to a file in your Documents folder, choosing a file name you can find again easily - suggestion: GE Clock Radio Manual, or something similar. You can also print the manual for easy reference.
Note: In 1987 GE sold its home electronics business to Thomson, Inc. (also known as Thomson MultiMedia Inc.), including the manufacturing of GE brand clock radios. From information I have found on other websites, it seems Thomson no longer produces items with the GE brand name.

There are two small buttons on the radio face. One is for "hours" and the other for "minutes". You'll need a ball point pen to depress the buttons for each setting.

It really depends on the type and model of your radio. Below is the generic clock set proceedure for the most popular radio at that time.
Hope this works for you.
To set the clock, just:
Press the SET button. The word SET will light up in the VF display.
Within 5 seconds, press and hold the SEEK button until the correct hour
appears on the display.
Then, press and hold the SCAN button until the correct minute appears
After you set the time, the word SET will remain in the VF display for a
on the display.
