You will need to look at the control module under the driver dash for the model number of the remote start. Visit directed, com and find the manual for your unit. follow steps for changing whatever features you like. ..or visit a local aftermarket auto shop who sells remote starters. any decent shop should be able to get it done in a half hour or so.

Whoever hooked up your system did not hook up the factory alarm disarm and arm wires. Your car thinks it is being stolen as a result of this. You need to get a wire diagram of your car and hook up the proper wires.

The start/stop 3x thing could be one of a few main issues. You need a bypass module or it needs to be reset. You need to program the tach if you're using it. Make sure with the new models(5101, 5301) it's programmed for auto transmission. The come default for manual transmissions.

Have this problem also. Took new vehicle (5009.2 miles) to dealer. They suggest that something in the control module tends to stick causing the battery to drain and that it is not an uncommon problem that they see. We had single digit temperatures here when the problem occured. It got up to 20 yesterday and everything works well again.
