take it to a repair shop for a proper diagnosis but generally anything other than a fuse , it will be cheaper to get a new unit

This means the outlet you plug your microwave into needs to be fixed in addition to fixing the oven. Breaker? Fuse?

Not really in my experience. Any microwave supplied with clean AC power and proper venting space will be fine.

But I'd bet your microwave can be fixed affordably.

The main internal things which can result in this model being dead (no display, no light when you open the door, no beep when you press a pad on the keypad) would be the 20A fuse and the magnetron temperature fuse. There could also be bad connections on the noise filter board.

Also, sometimes a power surge can cause the power to be interrupted to the low voltage transformer on the board, and I regularly repair those boards. I can also write a technical statement to your insurance company or to an RV park as needed.

How did you get on with your search for a new Magnetron ??
I have one of these great little cookers, but the buttons on the control panel are "sticking" or only intermittently operating - have to press pause many times to get the machine to shut down. I might need a new control panel or at best the one fitted needs a good internal clean - have you stripped your mmachine down ??

get the RV- ..... part number off magetron itself. try google. if it's a older model micro, the part may be discontinued.

If its under warranty you can have it replaced, otherwise its more than likely the magnetron tube which would cost more than the microwave to fix. You would be better off buying a new one

Chances are if the internal fuse and magnetron thermostat are good, then you have a circuit board that needs repair.

You can probably find exploded views at the Sears parts site. If you find a bad thermostat, the best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.
