Where is the pressure switch hose on Maytag Centennial MVWC6ESWW1 located?

Washing machine acts like it starts in the middle of the fill cycle. it is supposed to fill, determine the load size then start agitating. instead the agitator starts right away and after the cycle is done the clothes are wet. was advised to blow out pressure switch hose to reset sensor.

Pressure switchnhoses are usually located off the bottom or lower half of the drum. It willnormally be about women diameter hose that connects to a plastic box with a few wires at one end, and the drum housing at the other

SOURCE: Will not agitate after water fill up. Motor makes whining sound.

Hi,

It sounds like it could be the coupling that has worn or broke, to verify this put the washer in spin, let it drain the water out (if it will) then turn off the timer or open the lid, wait 10 seconds or so then start back up in spin. If the washer just whines then it is most likely the coupling. I have put together some instructions on this if you follow this link it will tell you more about it and how to replace it if you wish. Let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: my kenmore 800 washer starts

Hi.

To start call Kenmore to verify warranty status, parts warranty often lasts over one year.

Regarding the problem, the only device that can cause skipping fill part of the cycle and going to agitate is the pressure switch. You can replace the pressure switch just in case, as this is not an as epensive part, even if I think that the problem is a defective control board.

SOURCE: 18 months old, Maytag Centennial

Hi

May be a plugged Pressure Hose connected to the Water Level Switch in the Control Panel,
other end connects to Tub. Try blowing through the Pressure Tube .
This problem is going to be in the water level control or the tube that connects to the control may be partially clogged. if it is partially clogged the tube can retain pressure essentially fooling the water level control into thinking the tub is full. The best thing to do is to take the washer apart and check the tube to see if it is clogged and if not replace the water level control.

SOURCE: I have a Maytag Centennial

I had the same issue. When I started the machine it began agitating and then began to fill as if it is beginning the second rinse cycle - well I think it was.... SO, I threw in some towels and began the cycle at the second rinse part of the cycle. Low and behold, the next load started and finished just fine.

I hope this helps. This is just one of many issues with this machine, but luckily I haven't had to call the repairman yet! They all seem to revolve around the thing being out of sync.

2011 Maytag Centennial. It starts to agitate while the water fills in the beginning of the cycle.

Does it fill with water to the correct level? The water pressure switch lets the machine fill to a certain level and the stops the water coming in, then the control board should start the agitation.

The first video might help you.

How do I fix my Maytag Centennial commercial technology washer.

No agitation? first use a meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle? You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube. If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good. now take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ? sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphram to not open. if both check ok then next the motor coupler or belt if belt driven. check with a multi meter for continuity the door switch, and if there is a little movement on wash cycle in 1 direction only then check the cam dogs in agitator.

There are two hinges at the back, just remove two screws on top then push the top toward the front about 1'' or 1.5'' then lift it up.

Washer immediately goes into wash cycle when filling with water on initial start. At the end of the spin cycle ,washer dumps water back in to drum. Also,it's not getting the detergent out of clothes. Maytag...

The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.
