SOURCE: Homedics BPA-110-2AU blood pressure monitor.

This can be due to failure of the pump. If there is indication for the start of the pump , then the pump motor must be initiated . If not you will need to trace the power supply to the motor if not present the driver can be faulty. If present the motor drive is jammed or failed.

What does error EP stand for on the homedics bpa-201 stand for?

According to BPA-201 manual, pages 10 and 31, the "EP error" is a system error. The suggested action for this error, again according to the manual, is "measure again", as can be seen in the figure below:

What does an E3 reading mean on a b.p. machine

On my Homedics BPA-110 the "E3" means there was an "error obtaining measurement data: measure again". When you measure, make sure the cuff hose is centered on your arm. I have noticed the placement of the hose cuff is quite critical. If the hose on the cuff is not centered, you will probably get some type of "Exx" error code. This has happened several times with my monitor. Hopes this helps.

Does my unit require recalibration I keep getting readings under 100 over under 70? 97/69

Sounds like placement or noise artifact to me. See if hospital Biomed staff can check it for you. I think it is more than likely how you are operating it though.

Can i recalibrate this machine by my self

Unfortunately. there is no way you can recalibrate the unit. You don't have the equipment to accomplish it. However, HoMedics offer this service for little or nothing. In fact all BP Monitor Manufacturer's do. The reason being, the recalibration must be certified as correct.

Contact HoMedics Customer Support 1-800-466-3342 regarding this.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Morning! I have a bpa 300 nearly new lost receipt shows EE everytme iwas wondering if you have any solutions thanks K wilkinson

Generally the EE error code stands for the following:

EE is a measurement symbol for one or more of the following;

  • Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Wrap the cuff properly so that it's positioned properly on the wrist. 1" above the heel of the hand.
  • Talking or movement during measurement. Shaking of wrist with the cuff on. Measure again, keeping the wrist steady and at heart level during measurement.
  • The value shown on the display is excessively Low or High. Wait 5 minutes and measure again.
Hope this helps you. If you continue to have a problem with the monitor contact HoMedic's Customer Support 800-466-3342. As most of their BP Monitors have a 5 year warranty.
