Not spinning disc If it spins with a little help from yourself replace the spindle motor with improved motor, part number: RXQ0749A Unable to detect discs The laser head was the culprit. Replacing it fixed the problem. (Laser head code GRP6278A) Dew indicator is on permanently. Cannot play or record tapes. No dew present - caused by internal fault This Camcorder uses very fragile flexible circuits to interconnect the PCB's. They plug in to edge connectors. It seems that when they made these camcorders at the factory, they had as many problems getting these film flexy circuits back into the connectors as us service engineers have. I saw one unit that had a crease in the flexy circuit which had caused a hair-line fracture. Solution, trace the wiring and solder a sub-miniature wire across the broken track. Don't disturb any flexy connectors that you don't need to. This camcorder is a **** to work on Not loading properly Usually due to incorrect head alignment or dirty head, or failure of LM324 op-amp Doesn't record properly, ie: looks like one channel is down when recorded, pre-recorded tapes are ok Check Q008 for dry joints

The CD tray wont open on my xbox 360

Do not attempt this fix ur self if your not familar with the dvd drive parts . The problem is the band on the dvd drive motor under the disc tray is slipping . To fix this use a rubber band. Step 1 Remove your dvd drive unscrew all 4 screws , 2 remove green board carefully . 3 unscrew any screw under the disc tray and remove this disc tray , step 4 get a rubber band a small rubber band and replace the band thats slipping put your dvd drive back together and ur good to go . If you do NOT want to do this your self you can go to Solomodsdotcom and they will fix the dvd drive for you . Google search to to replace rubber band on 360 dvd drive . You tube has videos on how to but i wouldnt recommend doing it your self if your not familiar with the parts .

The rubber band under the record player has come off

I am not familiar with your particular model of turntable, but typically the belt is easily accessible under the platter (rotating metal disc). Remove the platter (it often just lifts off, but don't force anything) and then you will be free to reattach the belt. Good luck!

Bands or lines on screen during playback

Hi tlaufer ,
According to the symptom this problem is related to the VIDEO HEAD, As you earlier try to clean the head but no results, Please open the cassette compartment of your camera (as when you insert the cassette in it) for 30 mins (remains open cassette compartment) Actueally some time due to moisture head get durt.
After 30 mins insert the cassette and play it. Hope it will start work again fine.
But if no result from the said procedure then there must be a damadge of point of the head, in this condition you have to replace the VIDEO HEAD assembly.
Thanks for using fixya.

JVC GR-D350U problems

I have seen this many times, and it is usually always dirty heads, and it is a bigger problem when you record in long play. If the heads were dirty when the tape was recorded, then that is how the image was stored and will stay that way. So make sure you clean the heads before an important recording. Try cleaning them again with a new cleaning tape, and it just might come good if it was originally recorded fine.

Tray will not open

put the machine in standby mode (ie switch power button on machine or remote) then, press and hold the STOP and CHANNEL UP buttons simultaneously. This will force the disk tray to open.
