Unplug from electric, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Check that you have power at the outlet (fuse/breaker shut off?) If it has a power word which plugs into the TV as well as the wall, be SURE it is tightly attached to BOTH. Make sure you aren't blocking the remote control receiver (you can turn most TVs on/off on the TV itself -- look for a power button). Be sure your remote has fresh batteries. Good luck!

Philips TV stuck on 'Digital Tv' and setup menu won't disappear
Just make it a factory reset. Before doing it, unplug the TV from AC mains wall outlet, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This will make the TV to a hard reset. It could but it could be about 50 other things as well. You have a voltmeter, and know how to use it? going to need a service manual as well.

Philips 42pfp5532d 05 plasma tv won't store tv channels. when turn off then back on has to scan for tv channels again.
I had the same problem a little while after the digital change over, channels were all lost struggled to get the set up menu up but when i did i retune the channels as soon as you turn the tele off there lost again. but it works if you leave the tele on standby. 2 people have told me it's the battery in the tele itself.
