My first thing I'd check is the PSI in the air hose.
Most compressors have two different gages, one shows air pressure in the tank, and the oehter shows air pressure going out to your tool. There's a knob to adjust that...It should be somewhere between 60 and 90 pounds.

SOURCE: Paslode framing nailer loss of power.

Here's what I found at the Paslode Troubleshooting Site:
Tool will not cycle - fan runs, indicator light
is solid green.

Lockout bracket is stuck in lockout position.
Work-contacting element is bent, or build-up of
debris in track restricts operation.
Follower is not behind fasteners.
Fuel Cell empty.
Spark wire out of spark plug.
Spark plug is dirty.
No spark is generated.
Check lockout.

Remove and inspect lower probe. Clean and
lubricate track with Paslode Impulse® oil.
Repair or replace lower probe as required.
Position follower behind fasteners.
Replace fuel cell.
Remove cap and check spark lead, insert in
spark plug and replace cover.
Clean tool cylinder head and spark plug.

If this doesn't work, I suggest contacting Paslode directly 800-222-6990

Also try and check whether or not the slide where you insert the nails that you push the button down that way it is pushing the nails forward

SOURCE: will the paslode 900420 discharge two nails at the same time.

Stick with the paslode brands nails... the money you save using other brands is off-set by higher maintenance costs and tool down-time

SOURCE: paslode 2nd fix firing pin seems to ride over the

Ok the only thing that keeps it from riding over the top of the nail is your quick release on the front of the tool. I bet when you go to latch the front that it is not very tight. you need to replace the whole door. This should take care of you problem. # 900759 front plate assemblyhttp://www.paslode.com/cleaning-procedures.html

Why want my paslode shoot nails all the way

Did you adjust the depth piece on the front? You can move this piece all the way up to try to nail deeper.

Also, I have tried nailing two pieces of oak together with no luck. It leaves the 2-1/2" nail about 1/8 to 1/16" above the surface.

My nailer will not send the nail all the way in

Good morning

Daft though it may seem, is the depth of drive adjustment set correctly? If so then it could be either gas that is out of date or a fuel cell that has not been manufactured correctly. Just pop a brand new cell that is a genuine branded product and see if this cures the issue. If not, then take it to you're local repair centre.

Why is my gun bending nails?

Adjust the Work Contacting Element. See page 4 in the manual...
http://www.paslode.com/owners-manuals.html

Adjust the depth of drive.

Make sure correct fasteners are being used.
Use fasteners that meet Paslode specifications only.

Increase air flow to tool -- use larger air lines
(3/8 ID minimum).

Increase Air Pressure. DO NOT EXCEED 120 PSI.

Paslode im350 will only now wrk properly when on a flat surface i cannot fire in at an angle without it mis-fireing

Make sure the nails are inserted so that the follower maintains pressure on the strip of nails. Also, your pressure on the whole gun at an angle is probably not as great as on the flat---could lead to misfiring
