Dropped ZTE free phone in water. How do I dry the water in the screen?

the water probably caused a short in the screen conector.
sorry but liquid and electronics just don't mix

Is the screen blank all the time?

If you look really hard can you see the items on the screen but they are really dark? If so the back light for the lcd may have burned out.

If you feel comfortable with it, you can easily replace your own.
A new lcd runs about 50 dollars shipped. If you buy it from ebay, they will usually come with instructions and the screwdriver you need. A T6 torx driver is the type needed.

make sure the phone is swithced off imediatly, take out the battery or power suply, take appart the unit as much as you can and leve to dry for 24 hours underneath a lamp, do not use a hair dryer or heater as this heat will cause the cb to expand and can cause more damage, after 24 hours there wont be a prob

Turn the Zune off, then push the left and up buttons as you keep it connected to the computer charger. That will hard reset the Zune. If it doesn't respond to the hard reset it is more likely you have motherboard issue, not a screen issue. Try to clean the corroded parts on the logic board. If that doesn't help, there are parts available on ebay, there is a zune repair guide that will show you how to replace the logic board.
