SOURCE: Sentry Safe (DSW3607 Model) Won't Open

I finally ignored the poorly-written instructions for programming a personal code and simply entered the factory code first and then pressed the prog/enter code button.  The safe opened.  The instructions tell you to push the prog/enter code first and then enter the factory code or personal code to open the safe.  Wrong!  Do it my way should this problem happen to you.

SOURCE: how to unlock a cathedral electronic safe ea25

After opening the electronic safe (with the pre-set factory code of 159B) locate the small red button on the
inside of the door near the hinge.

2. Press the red button and then release it, you will hear a beep. DO NOT SHUT THE DOOR UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THAT YOUR NEW SECURITY CODE HAS BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY.
3. With the door open, enter your own personal security code, which can be 3- 8 digits long, and confirm your new code by pressing the letter “B” on the electronic touch pad. Before you close the door, try the new security code to make sure the lock release the knob so you can turn it and retract the live action locking bolts.
If the code fails, go through steps 1-3 again. If the code works successfully, then you should lock the safe. When you open the safe in the future enter the security code you have set followed by the letter “B” and turn the knob.

If the incorrect security code is entered 3 times you will have an automatic lockout for 20 seconds before you can try your code again. If the incorrect security code is entered 3 additional times there will be a 5- minute lockout before the code can be tried again.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
This safe uses 4- AA batteries. Under normal use, batteries will last about 1 year. When the battery is low, a red light will come on warning you that the battery is low. To test the batteries, enter your security code. If the batteries are low the red light located in the middle of the top of the keypad will start to flash.

To replace the batteries, open the safe door with your security code and turn the knob. Push the batteries cover plate, which is located on the back of the door, and replace the old batteries.

YOU MUST PROGRAME YOUR SECURITY CODE AFTER YOU REPLACE THE BATTERIES. SEE STEPS 1- 3 UNDER “ENTERING YOUR SECURITY CODE”.
TROUBLE KEY
A “Trouble key” has been provided in case you forget or lose your security code. Remove the small central panel from the front of the faceplate. Insert the key and turn it counter clockwise. Then turn the knob on the door towards the right. This will manually open your safe. If you lose your key, you may purchase a replacement key by referencing the serial number located under the central panel by the lock.
MAINTENANCE FOR KEY AND ELECTRONIC SAFE
If the door of the safe starts to rub on the door frame, open the door per the instructions above. By the door hinges you will find a threaded stem. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the threaded stem. This will help realign the door and give you trouble free access to the contents of your safe.

Nutool SF20 electronic digital safe

Here are a few steps you can try to unlock your Nutool SF20 electronic digital safe:
  1. Double-check the battery installation: Make sure the batteries are correctly installed and not dead.
  2. Try the default code: Many safes come with a valuable default code in opening the safe when you forget your code or if the keypad stops working. The default code is usually found in the manual or inside the safe door.
  3. Check the locking mechanism: Make sure that the locking mechanism is not jammed or stuck. Try manually moving the locking mechanism with a screwdriver or other tool to see if it will release.
  4. Use the override key: If your safe has an override key, insert it into the keyhole and turn it to the left or right to open the door.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps works, contact Nutool customer service. They may be able to provide you with additional troubleshooting steps or advice, or they may need to send a technician to repair or replace the safe.

We have just moved countries and left the safe locked open whilst moving. We are now can't get the door bolts to open? Is there a way to reset the combination with the door open and the bolts in the locked...

I'm afraid the electronics thinks the door id locked, on the other hand in most safes you can access the logic in the door when the door is open. Not knowing what brand and model you own, it is impossible for anyone to give a better advice.

I have the key to open the fragram safe but cant find where I put it in. Just see keypad in front of me

If you look into the safe from the back through the small holes (that are made for attaching the safe on a wall ) you will need a torch you should be able to see the reset button which is usually red, located around the battery housing on the back of the safes door , if you press this using say a chop stick or any thin long object you should be able to reset the numerical code if you follow the instructions on how to reset the code , thus then been able to open the safe.

I can't get the lock to disengage so now it's locked...open!!

You must enter the code to unlock the safe, just as if the door was shut. The safe does not know the door is open and you just need to shut it.

If you have entered the code and it unlocks properly but you still can't disengage the bars, take the panel off the inside of the door and inspect to see what is causing the problem.

When i lost my keys and i forgot my password how can i open it Electronic Digital Safe

plunge cut saw or a grinder..with a metal cutting blade.. go very slow SLOW . so you do not burn up the contents .. i would cut 2 one above and one below the slots where the pins set in the frame and use a crow bar to bend it back, the door should pop right open.. the good thing about a cheap safe. jay

Our office Fairline Electronic safe model no. FSF3525E. Its batteries have run out, so am not able to open the door. and its key also missed by someone. so i have to open the door what is the other option?...

I researched your safe and saw a picture of it but I could not find any additional information, like a website in the United States or any email or phone numbers for contacting the manufacturer of the safe. I have two suggestions the first one you may like the second would destroy the safe but you should be able to get in to it. The price of that safe today is only $49.00

1st suggestion is call a local locksmith to open it, that safe Im sure can be opened by a key it's the backup when the batteries fail.

2nd suggestion this will destroy safe and if a locksmith cant open it he will probably do the same thing. To the left of the black knob you turn you will need to drill a half to 3/4 inch hole with a metal hole saw. That's pretty thick metal but it will cut a hole in the safe and at the same time cut through the bar that is use to latch the door shut. Once you cut the bar in half that is used to keep the door locked with needle nose pliers I would wiggle the shaft up and down and at the same time pull to the right. That will dislodge the shaft that locks the door and now you can swing it open.

I know this is not the best advice but it appears that right now with out having the key you don't have may options, sorry.

I hope this helps you out.

I push scglage button and unlocks the lock

http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstallationTroubleshooting.aspx#5
Why can my electronic keypad deadbolt (BE365) be unlocked without a four digit user code when I press the "Schlage" button? This is most likely due to an installation error. When the lock is assembled on the door, two steps of the installation must be followed to insure proper operation. The deadbolt must be installed in the door edge with the bolt retracted, and the gray plastic cam on the interior mounting plate, through which the flat metal driver bar passes, must be pointed down (see below). The gray plastic cam has a triangle embossed on the end opposite the driver bar which should align with a matching triangle on the orange plastic cover plate below. These instructions are also embossed on the orange plastic plate.
Troubleshooting Image 2
If the cam is improperly aligned, the lock must be disassembled to a point where, with the bolt retracted, the cam can be turned to the correct position without moving the bolt. This will require withdrawing the flat driver bar completely from the cam before turning the cam. The driver bar will then pass through the cam at a forty-five degree angle when the lock is reassembled.
