First, go to Settings > Storage and check if the "Default write disk" is set to "SD card". Then go to Settings > Apps and swipe to the left until you get to "SD card". Below will be all the Apps that can be be moved to the external SD card. Click in the box on the right and another page will come up. About in the middle of the page will be "MOVE TO SD CARD" tab. Tap on it and wait until it finishes. Then go back and pick another App to move. You should be able to download apps directly to the external SD card. I haven't done that on this device and not all apps will download to the external SD card (the app maker can restrict downloads to only the internal memory. This tablet is one of the rare few Android devices that allow moving Apps to external memory.
The default on most tablets is to install apps to internal storage so the SD card does no good by itself. You can go into Settings>Applications and change the location for each app to the SD card. Likewise anything else you put on a tablet, particularly photos and videos get stored in internal storage. If you have taken a lot of photos and videos they can fill up your storage quickly. You can change this in the Camera app by tapping the settings icon and changing the storage option to SD card. You will still need to actually move existing photos and videos to the SD card manually or copy them to external storage and delete them. I would also change the image and video resolution in Camera settings to 640x480. This is plenty good enough for pictures you just want to look at on the device or share online.
touch the "Settings" icon, go down to the "Device" area, touch the "Storage" icon : go to the bottom of the screen, and select "Transfer data to SD card", then select the items you want to move.
You should also move some apps from internal storage to the SD card : "Settings", "Device", and touch "Applications" : then touch each and every application : for most of them, the button "Move to SD card" will be active, just proceed.
There are 2 storage in just about every smartphone or tablet. There is an internal storage, usually about 1gb. or 2gb. And there an internal SD storage, which is not same as the external micro sd card. RAM stands for Read Access Memory, it will not work as storage. Now, when you download an app it is usually save in the internal storage. If you move an app without an external micro sd card inserted, you are moving them to the internal SD storage. If possible got to setting>storage and check how is the storage divided, if you insert the external micro sd card it should display 3 separate bars. Also, another way to move apps and other things around is by using ES File Explorer. Check that out first and I hope you do resolve the problem, best of luck.
What messages are you getting when trying to install? The app is not necessarily installed to the memory card automatically. Check your settings. How much internal storage space does it show? The app might be too big for the space you have left. You could try to free up some space by moving some installed apps to the SD card.
Internal storage and external storage on your sd card are two different things.
Root tablet w/kingroot and use links2sd app from google as well as aparted app. Partition sd card using ext4 on one partition and fat32 on the other it will allowyou to use external sd card as an internal storage, it comes with instructions on llinks2sd info follow it and you cant go wrong
Try un mounting the sd card with the card installed then take it out and teinsert it If that don't work it could be the old format isn't recognized and try formatting it then
