Most machines have an inspection port at the bottom where you can access the drain pump and filter. Bale out as much as you can from the drum by hand, if you can open the door. Open the inspection cover and slowly loosen the pump/filter until the water dribbles out into a shallow tray.

If your drain is not high enough the water will siphon out while filling. Check your owner's manual for correct height, usually about 39 inches from ground
