Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone

Black screen, improper USB cable disconnection

I was using the file transfer option on my phone when my brother removed the USB cable without me properly disconnecting. Now im having trouble turning the phone back on, the screen doesn't fully light up. There are small lower case letters with gaps across the screen and I cant do anything? Has my phone been damaged and can it be fixed?

You will need to flash the phone using a third party software. Before trying this hold down the '2' and '5' buttons at the same time and connect the USB cable while holding the buttons down. Keep holding them untill the computer registers the phone is there. This may force the phone to reset and start working again.

How can I download music to my fusion2 phone

First you:
2.9.1 Using the microSD Card as USB Mass Storage
To transfer all your favorite music and pictures from your PC to your mobile phone's microSD card, set the microSD card as USB mass storage.
1. Connect your mobile phone to your PC with the USB cable provided. Your PC will detect the microSD card as a removable storage device.
2. Open the notification bar, and then touch USB connected.
3. Touch Turn on USB storage in the dialog box that opens to confirm that you want to transfer files You can now transfer files from your PC to your mobile phone's microSD card. When your microSD card acts as USB mass storage, your mobile phone will not use this memory space. Ensure that you follow the correct procedures to disconnect the USB mass storage device (your mobile phone) from the PC when you have finished transferring files.

Then:
8.3.1 Copying Music to the microSD Card
1. Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable and mount the microSD card.
2. On the PC, navigate to the USB drive and open it.
3. Create a folder in the root directory of the microSD card (for example, Music).
4. Copy the music from your computer to the folder you have created.
5. After copying music, unmount or eject the drive as required by your PC's operating system to safely remove the mobile phone.
6. Disconnect the mobile phone from the PC.

Once done open music player and play music.

Download photos to pc

If you're photos are saved in your phone's internal memory, transfer them first to the memory card.
To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, tap Menu.
2. Tap My Files.
3. Tap Phone at the top of the screen.
4. Tap the desired folder.
5. Tap the desired file.
6. Tap Options.
7. Tap Move to.
8. Tap Memory card.
9. Tap the desired folder.
10. Tap Open.
11. Tap Move to.
Once you have transferred your photos to the card, the next step would be transferring those photos from the card to your computer.
To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the top of your phone.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer.
3. Click File Transfer on the phone.
4. If required, tap OK on the phone to exit to the main screen.
5. On the computer, in the Removable Disk dialog box, click to select Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and click OK.
6. Navigate to the file on your memory card that you wish to copy.
7. Right-click the file and click Copy.
8. Navigate to the desired folder on your computer.
9. Right-click and click Paste.
10. When you are finished transferring files, tap Back on the phone.
11. Tap OK to exit the card reader mode.
12. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone and from your computer.

How to transfer music to N70 without using a card reader or bluetooth ? my card reader is missing ..

Good Day,
Transferring file to a PC from an N70 phone, can be done in three ways
1: via Bluetooth 2: via memory card (by the use of memory card reader) 3: via Nokia PC Suite using standard N70 (DKU-2) Cable chiefmecha_4.jpg

I guess you are left the last option, which is I am sure you have a cable for your phone. Because it is included in the box when you bought the phone.
But before you can actually connect your phone to your PC, even if you have the cable, you must install Nokia PC Suite first. Just go here and download the software. http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/Nokia_PC_Suite_eng_web.exe
After installing you can go and connect the cable to your N70 phone and connect to a USB port on your PC. The phone may ask you on its screen to choose what kind of connectivity you want, if you want to just transfer files, you may just choose Disk option or removable disk access, and access its MMC via the windows explorer just like a card reader.
Hope this helps you. Thank you for using Fixya.

Transfer pictures from phone to computer. FIFO spam for years on FIXYA.

I found an easy step by step to do this.
  1. Connect the USB cable to the computer and the phone.
  2. In the phone: When you attach the USB cable to the phone, a USB connection window appears, Select File transfer.
  3. On the computer: Open My Computer and your phone will be visible as a removable disk.
  4. Double-click the removable disk.
  5. Here you will find specific folders (depending on your phone model) where your pictures are stored.
  6. Drag and drop or copy and paste the picture from this folder to a folder on your computer.
  7. Disconnect the phone from the USB cable.
The picture is now transferred to your computer.

Hope this helps

  1. Plug one end of your USB cable to your phone then plug the other end to an open USB port on your computer.
  2. Step 2 Turn on your phone. Your computer will recognize the new hardware connected to your computer. It is safe to connect your phone to your computer when it is on.
  3. Step 3 Double-click "My Computer" on your desktop. Your phone will be listed on the new window ." . To copy files to your phone, highlight the file and drag it to the phone icon.
  4. Step 4 Double-click on your phone to open it and reveal any contents on it. Locate the files you want to transfer, then right click on each one individually. Scroll down the pop-up menu, then click "Copy." On your phone icon, right click an empty spot, then scroll down and click "Paste" to copy the file. Another way of transferring files is to drag them to the opened phone icon.
  5. Step 5 Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" button on the lower right of your computer screen. Highlight your phone on the hardware window. It will either be the (E:), (J:) (F:) or (D:). The message "USB mass storage device can now be safely removed," pops up. This allows you to safely disconnect your phone from the computer without damaging any files that have been transferred and saved to it.
  6. Step 6 Unplug your phone.
i hope this helps

You don't need the software to transfer music. I have the software but don't bother using it as it takes much longer to transfer files this way.

Just connect my your 350i to your computer using the USB cable. On your phone select "file transfer". Now, go to "My computer" and after 30 seconds your phone should appear as a removable drive, and you can drag & drop (or copy and paste files) into the music folder therein.

While in "file transfer" mode you cannot make or receive calls or texts, so be sure to disconnect as soon as your file transfer is complete. To do so, in my computer, right click the icon for your phone and select "eject".

Connectivity - usb cable

im not a genius or anything but i have nokia pc suite and i cant drag files to my phone either. i usually just plug the memory card into the computer and it comes up as a memory card with the images and video clips folders etc. im pretty sure its faster than the usb cable. you could also buy a usb infrared thing but they are very slow to transfer files. so if you really want to use your usb cable then this question wouldnt've helpd. thanks.
