Make sure you are using the correct bobbin and it is put in correctly. If it isn't put in the right way, the needle will hit the bobbin case. Take out the bobbin case and put it back making sure it is snapped into place. If this isn't the problem, use the flywheel and manually lower the needle to see if there is an obstruction.

SOURCE: how to thread the bobbin on a singer simple sewing machine

Drop-in bobbin: Note: thread must change direction when entering bobbin shuttle notch. Usually bobbin will turn counter-clockwise when threaded properly.

1. hold bobbin so that the tail of thread is facing to left.
2. drop bobbin into bobbin shuttle.
3. pull thread toward you.
4. guide thread into notch and pull to left so that slot engages thread.
5. pull thread diagonally across shuttle toward back of machine.
6. draw bobbin thread up through needle plate with threaded needle.

Try these suggestions
1. Change the needle--use a needle that's for the fabric being sewed
2. Rethread the machine--top --make sure to use every thread guide
3. try a different bobbin--make sure bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case, & make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case

Singer sewing machine 534 Machine and bobbin are threaded - won' sew

A few things you can check are.

1. is the needle the right one for the machine?
2. is the needle properly inserted and oriented correctly for the machine?
3. Is the bobbin inserted correctly, so it unspools correctly for the machine?

If that all looks right, then take the needle plate off and watch the shuttle hook. It should be very close to the needle when the needle is at its bottom most part of the stroke. If it is well behind, your machine\'s timing is retarded. You\'ll need to take it in for adjustment.

THINK IT'S A SINGER 3116 BOUGHT AT WALMART FOR 90 DOLLARS

I would call customer service at singer.com they are very helpful, Is your needle inserted right with flat side facing the back? Inserted all the way up? Watch your video again, and read your manual. Sometimes, it something so simple as lint or a piece of the needle still in there, take it apart again and try.
