My Emerson mini fridge isn't cooling

Does the compressor start up? It has a thermal cut off and a current stareter relay that tend to go out causing the compressor to do nothing without power in it.

Your freezer fan unit may be frozen behind the inside wall and therefore not circulating the cold air down.
Se if you can remove the screws and back wall to check the fan unit.
Not all modeles can be repaired this way

Sounds like there is some warranty left on this unit.
Try unplugging it for some time; return power to it and see what happeng.
Another teat: Join the two wires at the thermostat t see if the fridge starts. If it starts, then the thermostat is bad.

Sounds like the compressor starting componets or a capacitor is bad.

you must check the amper ( current) rating as will as wattage of the mini fridge usually at the back portion. if the current and wattage rating of the surge protector is higher capacity so it can hold this fridge.

Your fridge operates like that: a compressor liquefies freon vapours; this creates heat so the hot liquid goes thru a cooling radiator with a fan on it (these 2 elements are at the rear bottom of the fridge) the freon fluid goes to an evaporator, turns to vapour and absorbs heat in the process, cooling the evaporator; a fan blows air over the evaporator and spreads the cooled air all over the fridge; the vapours return to the compressor.
In the rear of the fridge you should make sure that the radiator is clean and the fan working; inside the fridge you should make sure that the evaporator is not covered in ice and/or dirt and its fan is working. If necessary clean both.
If they are clean , the fans work but the evaporator isn't cold then either the freon circuit has sprung a leak and all the fluid has been lost or the compressor isn't working - to find out which just put your hands on the compressor : if it's hot and vibrates the fluid has been lost, if it doesn't vibrates then the compressor isn't working.
The compressor isn't working because either the thermostat or itself have failed. To find out which the compressor will have to be powered directly from the mains: if it starts then the thermostat must be replaced, if it doesn't the compressor will.
To fix the freon circuit or to replace the compressor a certified professional is mandatory, you must call one.

Sounds like your cooling fan is out. If the freezer is fine and the fridge isn't, then the cooling fan isn't blowing the cold air the the fridge. Or you could have ice obstructing the airflow.

If the fridge in a close enviroment like a cupboard or closet??? There is not enough ventilation and hence the compressor is getting hot , reducing the cooling effency.
Or
The cooling gal has leaked and needs to be refilled.

It sounds like either a filter is clogged, an air vent in the back is blocked, or the internal cooling fan is not running.

We have a sound clip here of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are working.

This overheating can happen if you put it in a cabinet or push it against a wall.
