Changing batteries in remote thermometer, I believe which batteries are changed first matters on this model. I have misplaced the manual. Please advise or provide manual?

Some brands of Wireless thermometers need to have the base station reset to synchronize with the remote sensor. You would need to take the batteries out of both the remote sensor and the base station and then re-install all the batteries in both units (or three units if you have more than one remote sensor)
Each Manufacturer has their own procedure, La Crosse needs the procedure I described on many of their older systems. They may have changed it on the newer systems because I HATED resetting everything every time I change one set of batteries.
If your unit was initially working fine and you find that it recently intermittently works with the outdoor unit then unfortunately there is not much you can do. The cause is other type units transmitting on the same frequency, eg: internet. You can try changing frequency, but I found the frequency spectrum here full with wifi / internet modems / cameras, so not much can be done. It does still lock on but there are long gaps of nothing. Perhaps a mod to boost either tx or rx ?
HH means it is showing the high temperature you (most likely accidentally) set with the MAX MIN / + button, which is easy to do when setting the clock. Just press that button again until the reading appears.
I actually have the same problem with an older model Brookstone weather station with remote temperature gauge. The time/date settings do not allow you to set time zone and eventually the clock syncs to PST.... ANY HELP HERE?
