High voltage is needed to power the screen. Check the high voltage circuit. Take off the rear panel. The high voltage is need where the 120 volts. There is a high voltage transformer and on the output the volts should equal at least 390 volt DC - check it at the capacitor. If not, check the capacitor. The one in the TV is 100 uf rated at 450 volts. I put in a 370 uf rated at 400 volts.
This fault is in protection circuit.First check the 125V.D.C at sm out voltage.then eprom I.C.(memory) & Set the parameter by opening service mode Stanby>Display>Menu>Mute>Power on if require.

Check all the voltages at its video output card [CRT base PCB] If all are found OK, check and replace the chroma IC. The most probable cause is defective IC itself. Check its heating effect. Will overheat within minutes after the set is switched ON.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
