I've had this tv for years now and recently I lost the remote so I started using a new one. I hit the PIP function and now I can't seem to get it off my tv. I can only rotate it and resize it not remove it. Can anyone help me with my predicament?

get a one for all remote they are good and inexpensive. just follow the insructions to find the code or look online to buy a replacement remote or download a owners manual from the manufacturer you should be able to sort it using the controls on the tv set
If your TV has a Menu button on its front panel, enter its Menu widow, surf through, come to wards picture control window, and make PIP function OFF. If it has no such button, you must have its remote control to turn it OFF.
If you are using a Universal remote control with this set, some button functions won't coincide with the display. If you are using its original remote control, the contacts inside the remote control is dirty or dusty. You have to open the remote control and clean its contact pad and printed circuit touch pad with rectified spirit or medical quality turpentine. Never use petrol of such hard solvents to do this, becuse they will damage the rubber parts of the remote control. If it is a universal remote control doing this will be of no use. It will behave only like this. OK.
I used 0178 to program my universal remote. You can also try 10056, 10178,10864,10885,11756,10056,11758, and 11499. Then you can try by dropping the "1" from the front of these codes.
Most good remotes have a programming function if this does not work, where the remote will "learn" the proper code. The actual button remote codes are as follows: 0 00117 1 00121 2 00119 3 00123 4 00116 5 00120 6 00118 7 00122 8 00245 9 00249 Vol + 00183 Vol - 00187 Mute 00057 Channel + 00181 Channel - 00185 Power 00053 Enter 00164 Last 00247 Menu 00171 Guide 00244 Up 00168 Down 00166 Left 00170 Right 00037 OK 00164 Sleep 00054 PIP 00197 Info 00251 PIP Swap 00198 PIP Mode 00199 Exit 00216 Audio 00059 Input 00090 Wide 00138 TV 00110 AV 00105 Component 00231 HDMI 00174 MTS 00055 CC 00025 Zoom + 00165 Zoom - 00169 Freeze 00200 RGB 00253 PIP Ch + 00196 PIP Ch - 00203 PIP Input 00199 PIP Size 00201
There is no code!!! -- Solution...You have to buy a universal remote with learning capabilities. I’ve ordered one that will not only learn off other remotes but can handle 10 components also. I got it from 10x it’s called the iconRemote control…if you call the company they will give you a discount (but you have to call them and ask) AWESOME!
