SOURCE: When my washing machine is

Hello,

There is an article of clothing stuck inside the dispenser housing. Remove the top and the housing to get to the hose and clean it out. Very common issue, I know this unit very well.

My whirlpool steam duet washer won't pour water in the wash cycle

There is no output from the control panel to switch on the inlet valve, so check the inlet valve at this time of the cycle. Also check the water level pressure sensor switch.
Choose another program to confirm if not the controller seems to be suspect.

Whirl pool top load washing machine directly goes to aqua save mode and disable all other functions?

This is just a setting error. For troubleshooting of this error, just enter in diagnostic mode. Keep pressing Program button and then also press Water Level button. Now release both buttons. Now machine will auto run for wash-rinse-spin. After it finishes, Keep program on Normal, Keep water level low and now Start the machine. It will now work normally as before.

Monthly Cleaning Protocol

  1. Hello. here it is: Use only the proper amount of HE (high-efficiency) detergent in your Duet. Whirlpool has stated that using too much detergent or fabric softener in the Duet can ruin a high-speed spin bearing responsible for spinning the basket. The replacement part is approximately $600. Whirlpool also claims that using too much detergent or softener can cause fungus growth.
  2. If you have mold and mildew problems with your Duet, check the filter trap. Unplug the washer and remove the three screws in the seam between the door and the bottom panel to remove the bottom panel. The Duet drain pump has a design flaw that leaves about a cup of water in the filter trap under the tub. Clean out that filter with bleach every month or two to eliminate mold problems.
  3. Put small items in a mesh bag before washing. There is a good chance they will get lodged in the Duet's filter trap, if you don't. Check the filter trap mentioned in Step 2 monthly to make sure there aren't any small items blocking the filter.
  4. Remove your detergent dispenser every month and wash with warm water and bleach to prevent mold buildup. Remove the fungus smell from your washer with Affresh washer cleaner. Always keep the washer door open when not in use.

Frontloader shows SUD but no visible suds ....then machine stops working. also shows F34 numbers. Have tried resetting by un-plugging . then works fine for a few times then shows SUD again and we have to...

You may have a clogged drain filter.
Remove the bottom front panel to access the filter. Unscrew the filter, clean and replace the filter. Also, run 2-3 wash cycles with no detergent at all.
When using HE detergent, use the exact specified amount. With front load machines more is not better.

Whirlpool washing machine...only uses hot water

Make sure the hoses are connected correctly to the water valve on the machine. The connections will be marked with an "H" and a "C".

Given they are correct, most current washing machines have and auto temp feature on the water fill. It allows even cold water settings to bring in some hot water to make sure the water temp is hot enough to efficiently disolve your laundry detergant. The preset temps are usually around 75* for cold, and 105* for warm. Hot water comes in at whatever temp your household water temp is.

What to use in my washer?

If your washer is rated for HE detergent, then you're supposed to use HE detergent. The reason being is that HE detergent is concentrated and specifically made for washing machines that use LESS water than conventional washers. Regular detergents are formulated for machines that use about 35 gallons of water for a full wash tub. If you use that same soap in a washer that only uses 5 to 7 gallons of water, you are in affect putting a higher concentration of soap in your new washer. Originally, manufacturers of HE machines stated that you could use regular detergents as long as you cut back on the amount. They later retracted that statement, because regular detergents were damaging the HE washers. You should review your warranty closely. Most newer models now have a disclaimer that states if you use the wrong detergent in your new washer, the warranty becomes null and void. I hope this answers any questions you may have.
