Battery went flat last night, charged it over night, everything was fine, the connected screen was working correctly, it said it had full battery, so i unplugged it.
Now whenever i press a button it brings up the "Walkman. Every moment has its music" screen, 1-2 seconds later it turns off.
Tried reset button, tried plugging back into the computer (it turns on while plugged in, and can still access all files).
Not entirely sure what else to try, any ideas?
Mine is doing the same thing, and I've tried the same solutions as well as trying different computers and cables to recharge.
The one other possibility for mine is that I damaged it using a generic charger in the car that was supposed to work for "most" MP3 players. It did seem to - I mean, the player didn't blow up, catch on fire, or stop working! - but a day later, it collapsed. Maybe a coincidence, maybe damage from the car charger.
I'm guessing that it's time for both of us to send the units in for battery replacement.
Good luck with yours.

You may have inadvertently answered a question I have on these Walkmans. It is stated in the instructions that you are NOT to Reset, Hibernate, Wake-Up, Power-on or Power-off the PC with the player connected to it. Since you did an "over-night" charge, did your PC go into any kind of savings mode?? Personally, I don't see how this can cause a malfunction IF you are only charging it. I could see a problem IF you were transferring songs or pics or a video, but not just when charging. I had my PC go into Hibernate mode once with mine connected. I "woke-up" the computer and so far it, the Walkman, is still working... connected or disconnected to the PC.
