What i have heard is that games are not region restricted. However videos are. You can play any game you want, but movies that are not from your region may not play. There are some PSPs that have no region restriction that can play anything and everything, but that isn't what you have.
PSP 3000 is a Japanese PSP. PSP 3001 is the U.S. model PSP 3004 is a european model
All of the above are the same PSP, different regions. The PSP3000 allows you to play UMD movies & games, allows the use of Memory Stick Duo which also work in Sony cameras and camcorders but none have internal memory.
The PSPGO has internal memory but it does *not* use UMD discs at all! It also does not use memory stick duos as the PSP 3000 does. It's not very comfortable to play games either -- I hear it was created to compete against the i-touch but it is NOT touch screen.
Stick to the PSP-3000. It's cheaper and does more.
if you donot have a downgraded cfw psp you cannot play any games from the memory stick and nor will it display
to have the custom firmware go to a local game store and ask them to make psp 3004 cfw so you can play games from memory stick and sometimes they will charge some fees but it is worth it because you cannot make a psp 3004 model cfw it is pretty complex
well on the psp 3004 their are like 4 games u can play right now but u can play game boy advance games just look up the psp chickhen mod and u should find what u can do.
Yes, US movies are region 1 and China and Southeast Asian markets are region 3. This is supposedly to keep piracy low but considering you can't even burn UMDs yet that's kind of ridiculous. Go to http://www.engadget.com/2005/11/24/neuros-pumps-up-neuros-mpeg-4-recorder-2-for-psps-and-ipods/ to find a mpeg4 converter for UMDs or else you could get a new region 1 drive and flashing your bios. There's talk in the air about Sony releasing it's movies all regions from here on out due to this problem.
