At present, the gasoline engine does not have 24 V, diesel engine has 12 V. The ignition of gasoline engines is different from that of diesel engines. Gasoline engines use spark plugs to ignite combustible mixture air to explode for work, so they do not need high speed. A low-power starter does not have to use 24Vstarter battery, while a diesel engine needs a high speed to do its work through a high-pressure spontaneous combustion explosion, such as the excessive volume of a 12V high-power motor. Therefore, the low temperature starting performance of 24V.12V diesel engine is generally used in low power diesel engine, and the application of deceleration starter solves this shortcoming.

SOURCE: Generator won't start & now starter will not shut off when it has power

I'm assuming the key ignition switch has been replaced with a new one. If this didn't correct the problem then the problem could be in the STARTER RELAY stuck in the 'on' position, or in the STARTER SOLENOID switch (located on the starter motor ) stuck in the 'on' position.

The STARTER RELAY should be located around or in a POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX . After locating the STARTER RELAY and gaining access to it, try hooking your charger or jumper cables, whatever way you want to power the battery to make the starter turn over, then while the motor is turning over then pull the STARTER RELAY out and see if that stops it from turning.

If it does then the STARTER RELAY is probably at fault and needs to be relaced. It the motor continues to turn over then the problem is more than likely the STARTER SOLENOID sticking in the 'on' position, and will need to be replaced. That should take care of the starter problem.

Next will be the 'not starting problem'. That could be fuel delivery, spark plugs, coil or ignition control unit. Would be so much more helpful to include date and make of an appliance when seeking help.

I have a Fuji micro XE-SF 3700

It sounds like there may be an issue with the ECO switch on your Fuji micro XE-SF 3700 generator. The fact that the A/C power output cuts out and the motor high revs when the ECO switch is set to handle a heavier load, and that there is no power when the switch is set to economy mode, suggests that the switch may not be functioning properly.
It is possible that the switch may be faulty and needs to be replaced.
I would recommend consulting the manual of the generator or contacting the manufacturer for further assistance. A professional technician should be able to diagnose and fix the problem.
It is also possible that there is a problem with the generator's voltage regulator or control circuit. These are complex systems, and it may be best to have a qualified technician diagnose and repair the issue.

Why doesn't generator crank?

battery voltage can be 12 volts but if the battery has a dead cell then engaging the starter will drop that voltage to 7 volts or less
have the battery load tested
check and ensure that the battery posts and terminals are tight and shiny clean

Mge 4000 will not start

This type of generator has an oil-level sensor to prevent operation when it is too low. Check to see that the oil is filled to the right mark on the dipstick, and be sure it is on level ground when you do this.

Need help finding fuseible link that goes to starter

CHARGING SYSTEM
The charging system is an integral part of the battery and starter systems. Since all of these systems work together, any diagnosis and testing should be done in conjunction.

The charging system is protected by a 12 gauge fusible link located in the A11 circuit. This fusible link is between the generator and the starter.

The generator ground is provided through a case ground in the generator to its attaching bracket. This generator uses a voltage regulator internal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

When the vehicle is running, battery voltage is applied to the generator field terminal through the A142 circuit. This circuit is the output from the contact side of the Automatic Shut Down (ASD) relay. The ground, or voltage regulated side, of the generator field is controlled by the K20 circuit which connects to cavity 4 of the PCM connector.

When there is current present in the field, and the rotor is turning, the stator in the generator produces a B+ voltage that is supplied to the battery through the A11 and A0 circuits. The A11 circuit is connected to the output terminal of the generator and connects to the engine starter motor battery feed terminal. The A0 circuit is a direct feed line from the battery and connects to the engine starter motor.

Grounding for the system is accomplished at the battery negative terminal. These grounds connect to the engine and body.

HELPFUL INFORMATION
Inspect for a blown fusible link in the A11 circuit between the generator and the starter motor.

other Fusible link goes from the starter to the alternator. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I have a kohler rv generator that will start .

When this happens, this usually means that your genset is not creating voltage. First thing I would do is disconnect your remote start wire from the genset, this will eliminate the start switch inside the RV. For a shorted remote start switch can cause you genset to shutdown. Second, place a volt meter at a spot where you will be able to read genset voltage. If no voltage is available and your voltage regulator is new, then the problem is with either the rotor or stator. The rotor is the easiest check. You need to reach the brushes. Take a resistance reading, which should be around 20 ohms. Clean the rings and make sure there is enough length on the brushes, at least over 1/2". Next, flash the fields using a 12Vdc battery. Use rubber gloves when doing this. Place the positive side to the ring closest to the bearing and negative goes to the back ring. This is done while genset is running so be careful with rotating parts. Have a volt meter on the output wires. Once you flash the fields the voltage should increase to over 50Vac. If it does then your stator is bad since you installed a new voltage regulator. If the voltage does not increase when flashing, then the rotor is bad.
