Flashing Green Power Light - No Picture or Sound

Sharp Aquos LC-37D44UJust bought this TV from J&R through Amazon.com. Setup everything and turned the TV on. Nothing happens. Just a flashing green power light. Pushing the on/off button does not do anything. Very frustrating to have this happen for a brand new TV and very distressing to read others that are having the same problem.

There should be some loose solder points at its main digital board. Check it.

yes thats is a common problem for all flat tv not only
sharp ;/ first theres is capacitor in power supply
you probly have few one there blow up and it could bee from the power section of your back light circuit
a good technician can fix that easy
