I have a Springfield precisetemp 433 wireless. The outside temp is reading 99 degrees when it should be reading about 70. When I disconnect the unit from the probe the temp is correct, so I'm guessing...

SOMETIMES WHEN METAL IS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT IT WILL
GIVE FALSE READING. MY OUTDOOR THERMOMETER IS METAL AND IT READS ABOUT 15 DEGREES HOTTER THEN IT IS. BECAUSE IT'S IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

The outside temp for the inside reading quit working this morning when I went to check the temp.The outside sensor was working fine.
What do I do to get the inside one to work again. The other features were working fine.

I have the same problem. Any ideas? My guess is that the outside temp sensor is defective.
