Cambridge Audio CD player Azur 640c gives 'No Play' error!! Does anyone know what the problem maybe ??

Basically have a problem with this CD player design. I have one and I finally realized it was a problem of contact failure on the motherboard to the bus cable coming from the laser head. The head movement is transmitted to the connection point of making it move and fail the connection this phenomenon makes the reader is unable to read the disc. Solution, fix the bus cable head to the chassis of the mechanism of the CD just before the point of connection to the motherboard, making the movement not Transmin connector. He has not failed but for the most beatings I have given to the chassis of the reader.

Cambridge Audio Azur 740C CD Player

The disk drives in the 640C/740C are Sony. Most people renew the laser, but that is tricky dealing with static electricity. Try renewing the flatcable from the laser unit to the servo circuit. Cheap. If this does not work, you can always renew the laser as well. Beware. There are (Chinese) non Sony lasers on the market. Success!

My cambridge audio azur 840 c will play any cd until the last 3 or 4 tracks then sticks

Probably an issue with the servo control / laser . Needs a tech to fix.

My CD Player, Azur-340C, cannot recognize cd disc after moving. It just shows 'no disc' when I insert a cd into it. How can I fix it? Thank you

Laser mechanism probably damaged in transit. Will need replacing.

I have a Azur 640c CD player. It keeps telling me there is "no-disc" when there is a disc and refuses to play it.

Unless you are an experienced tech, you should let a pro look at this unit. It may be a mechanical fault, or a logic control problem. Cambridge makes excellent sounding CD players, so I think they warrant spending money to repair them properly. Attempts by inexperienced owners can greatly increase the repair cost.

C/Audio Azur 640C Cd player rejects discs

the set is not loading because the loading action is not getting compplete. please look into the loading drive and correct the loading , check on the drive. if after it had loaded the cd is not loading the drive then check also onthe belt drive, clean the lens of the optical drive because if so it will not read and so stop action.
change the head if the cd is not turning or if it totate and not reading. Helpful? Good day

My Cambridge azur 540C compact disc player won't read CDs.

Hi...

After about 100 CD-DVD units, I've found that most problems are from debris/film on the laser lens.
If taking the cover off the unit doesnt scare you, unplug it and blow out the CD assembly with a can of compressed CO2
and VERY lightly clean the laser lens with 91% or better alcohol on a cotton swab.
If that doesnt work , contact Cambridge Audio for a repair service.
